Pacific Cove Properties - Strathmore Lodge Apartments

Very little (read: no) sound insulation between floors, but apart from that and the weirdly low ceiling in the bathroom it's a great building! The management is excellent.

I'd give this property management 0 stars if I could...worst experience with them ever. DO NOT hire them as your property managers

Ever since this company has taken over our building, prices have gone up, maintenance has gone down, they got rid of our security, more car break ins and the police are here every few days.

I love living in this nice and quiet building and I love the management. I've never run into problems or problematic people. Everyone is friendly as most people who live here have lived here for years (so many people I speak to in the elevators say they've been here for 5+ years), which speaks for the building itself. Also considering Covid and how tough it's been for everyone, the management here is truly so understanding of everyone's circumstances. I feel safe, cared for and respected. Nothing but great chat with the two wonderful women who run this place. They are hilarious, hard working and patient. (PS this building is a super safe space for women, so if that's important to you as it is for me, then I think you'll do great here) It truly feels like home as it's always kept clean, always taken care of and never disturbed. Everytime I have friends over they always comment on how special and full of character this building truly is. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. (A building for those with true charm and appreciation for historic character)

I first moved into this building 5 years ago after it was highly recommended by 2 of my closest friends who had previously lived here. I was immediately impressed with Strathmore Lodge's property management upon the initial application process. The building managers are on-site 7 days per week and were genuinely interested in getting to know me. They wanted to ensure that I would feel at home in their building, and that I would also be a good fit for the community of positive, respectful tenants who already lived here. During the 5 years I have lived at Strathmore Lodge, I am continually impressed with the high standard of care the property managers have towards the building and their tenants. They know each of us by name and go above and beyond to make day-to-day life easier for us, which is no small feat considering the number of people who live here. The building is constantly upkept, with new windows, heating systems, laundry services, and elevators installed within the last 5-6 years. No issue is too small for these proactive property managers who always respond immediately to any concern. Strathmore lodge promotes a very peaceful way of living. Tenants respect one another and avoid having parties that may disturb their neighbours. Strathmore lodge offers a safe and comfortable environment for everyone who lives here. All common areas are cleaned twice daily, which I have been especially grateful for during this pandemic. The building has a walk score of 94 and is ideally situated in the heart of the West End. My grocery store, liquor store, hair stylist, pharmacy, and favourite watering hole are all within a 1 block radius (not to mention there is a beautiful park and a weekly farmers market right outside my door). As for my apartment itself, I refer to it as my oasis in the middle of the city. The finishes are incredibly charming and the layout is well designed. Everyone who visits always comments on how cozy and comfortable my home is. I feel incredibly lucky to live at Strathmore Lodge and wouldn't consider living anywhere else.

While I’ve had a few issues with my unit since moving in, the manager Hana and assistant manager Louisa have been nothing short of absolutely amazing. They genuinely cares about the people living in the building, are super responsive, and do what it takes to fix any problems. Couldn’t have asked for a better building manager! While it does seem a bit too expensive for an older building, the location is amazing and the people in the building are lovely and welcoming. They make the place a home for sure. It’s a great place to be! ?

I have moved around Vancouver a bunch of times, this is the first apartment building I have ever lived at that felt like home! Hana the manager makes the most perfect landlady! She's quick to provide support and fixes things that need fixing. The building is quite old so don't expect it to be perfect, but if you want to be a part of a community where your neighbours are just like family, this is the place to be!
