★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I work there, nice place in both winter and summer. It is to know that hiking during the winter is not allowed as the gatineau park prepares a trail made for skiing only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful walking trail that's plenty wide enough for multiple people to pass each other. If you know where to go there's a nice swim spot that's a few kilometers down the trail near pine Island that's never busy because it's quite a walk.
Bikers be warned, the hill is very long and very steep

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This trail in the NCC Gatineau Park is easily accessible from Exit 21 on Hwy. 5. The parking lot is about 1km from the covered bridge and it makes a nice hike with some interesting interpretive plaques along the way (in English and French). It’s very picturesque. The hike towards the Gatineau trails is very nice with a lovely waterfall/stream beside the trail, leads to a number of lovely pathways including one to the Top of Meech Lake for a beautiful view and rest stop (with a small bench). The hike up is quite hilly and steep at spots, but the trail is wide and well marked. A real gem.
