Overlander Mountain Lodge

The rooms are adequate, beds comfortable. Walls very thin and could hear everything next to us.

Excellent staff, Michael, Henry, Jessica, and many more we cannot remember your names. The Lodge is a step back in time with so much comfort and charm. Meals served have wonderful presentations and flavors are fabulous.

Total hidden gem in the Rockies. There are rooms in the main building, a block of rooms and seperate cabins. Restaurant on site, food is spectacular. View from the restaurant is breathtaking. Staff are friendly and helpful. A bear walked past the restaurant window as we had breakfast. Great location for icefields Parkway. Superb place to stay at a sensible price.

Love the place, had great stay there. Beautiful view from the restaurant. Plus there was a black bear that just moved into the area few weeks ago. Saw it walked by while eating breakfast. Pretty cool

The staff are probably some of the nicest people around. They were extremely helpful with giving us ideas of things to do and see in Jasper (and not the tourist things... Which we appreciated).... The food was absolutely delicious and the views are stunning

We stayed in room 28 which is above the kitchen on the property view side. The room literally vibrates until they turn what we think must have been the exhaust fans for the kitchen off which is close to 10. Then they turn them back on very early in the morning to get ready for breakfast. It woke us up both mornings between 6:30-6:45. It was so loud that when you lay your head with your ear on the pillow it seemed to make the noise even louder. The bathroom was extremely tiny. The toilet is very low to the ground with a counter that goes behind the back of it. It makes it uncomfortable especially if you are taller. The bed was comfortable enough but it says it’s a queen and it seemed much smaller then that. Only one chair so as a couple someone has to always sit in the bed. Which is fine but it seemed odd. We actually booked a mountain view room through a third party booking company. Our reservation was switched which whatever it was our anniversary weekend and we had wanted to stay there so we were ok with being switched. They discounted the room slightly. I feel like it’s misleading business to be able to book through a site only to have the room you book not available. The positives were the food, which was very good and the service from the bar staff and restaurant staff was exceptional. The reception lady was also very nice.The view was beautiful. Would I recommend to my friends, only if they are able to stay on the mountain view side and actually got the room they booked. The property side you hear every bit of noise from the parking lot along the front. We would like to try again here because I feel like it could have been 100 times better on the other side of the building.

Boy oh boy, the reception staff was just so fantastic. I never caught his name, but he was working almost the whole long weekend I was there and just brought a smile to my face. His energy, joy and humour made my day! There was another girl on our last day, and she was hilarious too. Felt extremely welcomed and the location was great. We didn't want to stay directly in the town of Jasper and many of our planned hikes were nearby so it worked out perfectly. Just note there was no TV in the room but it's nice to minimize screen time when in nature. Would definitely stay here again!

They have definitely set the bar with service and food. I’ve been coming here throughout the years and never disappointed. The food tonight has exceeded expectations and the Stinging Nettle Soup ……amazing (compliments to the chef) The waiters were knowledgeable and easy to talk to like, talking to an old friend. We can’t say enough about the Overlander and their staff. We definitely gained a few pounds but we’ll worth every bit.
