My home church. Just love my community, Our Lady of The Assumption Prayer Community. We have an awesome pastor, Rev. Fr. Ben Ebcas, Jr.

Before the Mass will Start ..Would be nice if the Matured Lady Usherette will ask a parishioner in advance that likes to volunteer in taking the chalice wine and water during offering.

This review is for Nora and the staff at Our Lady. How do you work in a church when you have no humanity or virtue? If you are part of the church council and reading this, your church could be so much more if only the people taking care of it actually cared.

the 2 ladies who organized confirmation on the 6 of June 2019 were very descriminating and stereotype. they are not supposed to be given awards. they don't deserve it. those 2 woman told me I could not be the sponsor for my God son because I was not catholic and the ceremony will not the holy because again I was not catholic. what make me angry was the I was there for the rehearsal 2 days before the event and the same 2 ladies see me and did not ask me those questions. I dont know why they ask those questions on that day was it because of the way I was dressed all African cloth and African necklace and bracelet. I have done same for 2 girls previously in that same church and no question was question so was it because of the way I was dressed. I found that to be very insulting. the child wanted me to be there for him so even if I'm not catholic you guys should let it be. we all serve one God, Use the same bible unless the catholic bible is different. it ceremony will not be holy if the candidate is not happy with the person those 2 ladies were choosing for him. those 2 ladies who organized the confirmation this year were stereotype. even if I was not catholic maybe I will have become one after this . they have forgotten what jesus preached about winning souls they taught I was not holy enough to partake in that ceremony. they have judge me when jesus said thou shall not judge. they should go back and read the bible if they wanna be good christ followers. they shouldn't judge people because of the way they've dressed. catholic or no catholic we all serve one God. hope they church make changes about this issue. we should stop descriminating. I'm using descriminating because I dont wanna say racist but it look like that to me. those 2 should be very ashamed. they should not be in christ followers because they dont know what christ preached about. jesus did not discriminate. the good summeritan those 2 christain walk away and the non Christian was the one who save the poor wounded guy. those 2 woman said I was not holy because of the way I have dressed very very racial I'm soo disappointed by the people in churches teaching young children way of life. those woman should be very ashamed of them self and be humble and stop stereotyping. we dont need these people in churches. they doing contrary to what jesus thought. it bad I can't remember their names I will have mentioned them but I know if someone read this they will know who I'm referring to. God bless us all.

Experiencing the Filipino gathering in the House of our Merciful and Loving GOD and the Church ourselves , it really feels like back Home (Philippines).

I was baptized in this Church and went there in my youth. I returned there for a visit and I was appalled. Everyone there is now Filipino...literally everyone. They saw my non-Filipino face and all acted as though I did not belong there. I walked in and the first thing that was said to me was: "This is a church...", as though I wandered in like an unwanted stranger off the streets. No "welcome" and no "hello". It is not welcoming for others. It has no equality, diversity nor inclusion. The Priest was speaking barely comprehensible English. It is clear he was specifically chosen for a different crowd. The respect for the church has deteriorated, with people wearing torn pre-jeans and flip-flops. I looked around the halls and rooms, and it was also messy and disordered.

Really engaging priest who shares very interesting stories, which makes the mass really lovely and fun to attend. Only problem is there seemed to be a lot of maintenance issues (noisy vibrating sound every few seconds, cracked wall starting to surface, and the unused chairs (blocked off due to COVID) are becoming very dusty and no cleansing works were done).

We appreciate that this church offers Holy Communion, inside the church during the lockdown. Very active lay organizations including the Legion of Mary. Mass in Filipino language available. In 2021, Cardinal Collins celebrated mass here commemorating 500 years 9f Christianity in the Philippines with Filipino-Canadians. Theme: Gifted to Give PH500, 1521 to 2021.
