I’m a fully bilingual English/Spanish Registered Psychologist  who specializes in addiction and mental health issues for young adults and their family members. I am obsessed about helping individuals, couples and families recover from loss and painful events in their lives. I support adults and couples manage:

I have completed training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EFT (Emotionally Focused

Therapy) and MI (Motivational interviewing. I provide individual therapy for Depression,

Anxiety and Substance Use issues. I provide 90 minute Couple Therapy for issues, including

infidelity, lack of intimacy and communication breakdown. 

I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Alberta and my Master’s

degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Since 2006 I have worked for Alberta Health Services in various counselling positions with youth and adult population, including Addiction and Mental Health Residential. Detox and Stabilization programs. 

I was an Addiction Counsellor at Edmonton Remand Centre. I've delivered group therapy for Anger Management, Spousal Violence and Mindfulness.  My practice at the Edmonton Mental Health Clinic, includes working with young adults in relation to Substance Use, Depression, Anxiety, Family Conflict, Trauma and Psychosis

I am a seasonal Instructor at Norquest College where I teach the The Addictions & Mental Health Recovery Practitioner Post-Diploma Certificate Program. This gives a sense of pride and accomplishment as I see myself as an advocate for change within the field of Mental Health. 

In my spare time I enjoy boxing, hiking, dancing and power lifting. I enjoy watching TED Talks and I’m currently reading Daring Greatly by Brene

Brown.
