★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Oro-Medonte Rail Trail is 28 km long starting at 1 Line S, Shanty Bay. It's a moderate trail, adjacent to Lake Simcoe. The Trail is made up of predominantly smooth fine crushed gravel and cuts through bush wetland and small communities. It's nothing too significant. There are many interpretive signs which tell the stories of the railway or history of the area.
