★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You think this is a good res? Seriously? OC is the worst first-year-res. The community is dead. You won’t enjoy here. My advice is that if you live in OC, come to totem everyday if you want to make memories.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely one of the nicest places to stay on campus (if you're lucky and get in), well worth it. Only been in use since 2016/2017 school year! Neighbouring rooms are connected with their own bathroom, and only one student per room. Complete with a desk, bed, shelf, and bike holder. Rooms are very bright, the cafeteria downstairs is pretty good, and it has a laundry room. If you can get an upper floor (especially facing Northwest) you'll have a spectacular view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At the beginning of the year, I had no ideas who these O.C.R.A people were, but after getting to know them and attending all of their events I can happily say that they have created the best first year community at UBC. The events were really fun and the food was amazing, the best part? It was all free! They even gave out t-shirts, socks and stickers!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lived here when it first opened back in 2016, everything was shiny and brand new. Still looking new today.
There’s 0 sound insulation though, I could here my neighbours from all 3 sides. So if you get unlucky you might get an early bird, night owl and dorm party host neighbour combo and you’ll never be able to sleep again haha. Also living on the higher floors means that sometimes you have to wait 5-10minutes for an elevator to come. Sucks especially when everyone is rushing for their 8am classes. But it’s all part of the college experience :)
