Took my cat in for an ear infection. They tried to push unessecary medications for "other issues". He has a genectic eye condition from birth that does not require meds (according to several previous vets). I left the first visit feeling stressed and pressured. The ear infection did not clear up after a month so I scheduled him in for a follow-up appointment. I was then told I had to pay another full examination fee and for a rabies shot. Why wasn't this addressed in the initial consult? I understand this is a business but there has to be a balance. This vet seemed to care more about making top dollar than actually helping my cat.

**WARNING! DO NOT BRING YOUR SICK PETS HERE!** 0/5 Stars We brought our 5 year old German Shepherd here at the end of March because she had sores on her paws and pads that didn't seem to be getting better. After a general checkup, boosters, and inspection, the vet gave her some antibiotics and we were on our way. That's when the real issues began. We noticed when we brought her in the first time that she was panting fairly heavily as well, but this symptom was overlooked initially. We brought her back a few days later because the heavy panting turned into painful groaning with every breath. Her snout was almost swollen shut and crusted over, so they also prescribed steroids in order to minimize swelling so they could do tests at a later date. As we kept to the medication schedule, we counted the pills and noticed we had been shorted 4 days of steroid and nothing was improving - this is about 2 weeks later at this point. We called again, pleading to do something different but were assured this is the right approach and to stay the course. She convinced us to buy a stronger antibiotic and hope for the best. As things continued to go downhill for our pup, we called yet again on the Apr. 9th trying to convince the vet that she's still getting worse and the meds were not working. Again, we were told to stay the course and wait. Two days later she died in the middle of the night. Less than a month from seeing this vet, we had brought her in twice and called 4 times, hoping to have some adequate level of care for our dog. Each time we were seemingly brushed away or sold more drugs. Not a single test was done - they actually talked us OUT of doing a blood test on our second visit. Not only do we feel our baby was neglected, but this clinic failed to provide an adequate standard of care for our ailing pet. Our family could not have had a more traumatic experience. To add insult to injury, when I brought the body for cremation, we were told repeatedly "we're just as shocked as you" and "we can't believe this happened" the entire time we were there. This message is directly to the vets working at this location: Instead of feeling shocked or sorry after the fact, you should do your damn job and diagnose the patient rather than selling pharmaceuticals... I hope you lose sleep over this because we sure as hell have. $1300 and a dead dog later, at least we have your sympathies...

We have been bringing our various cats and now our new pupper, to the Orangeville Animal Hospital for pretty close to 25 years now. The office is clean and bright. The staff are very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The various Doctors we have seen are very friendly and compassionate with the animals; they were very compassionate with myself and my cat when we had to put a cat down (old age). This moment of compassion has stuck with me and why I will always take my pets to the Orangeville Animal Hospital, all the staff care deeply for the animals and owners. I find the prices to to comparable to other places (I have called around on occasion to check prices, spaying and neutering can be expensive) , but the staff are great, they know us and our pets, so now just always take them to the Orangeville Animal Hospital; I highly recommend them.

I brought my dog to another animal hospital in town ( Not Named) for a routine mass removal from my dogs leg, The surgery was botched because of the careless doctor. After almost losing his leg I needed to find another vet asap to help with bandage changes and care for my dog. The Orangeville Animal Hospital took him in and did everything to care for my dog from this horrific botched surgery, After a month he is back to normal and has almost fully healed. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who have helped my dog make a full recovery. Such an amazing experience.

I have from time to time in the past, used the veterinarian services of this clinic - and have always found them to be caring and awesome with my Boston Terrier. I have not always kept up with the regular checkups recommended, but my dog Beans is in very good health nonetheless. An opportunity has come up for me to spend an extended time in Europe, and getting my dog there with me has been of utmost importance. The staff here have been incredible and patient with me, helping me work through what must be done, the documentation that needs to be filled out and supplied, and I have nothing but enormous appreciation for the vets and staff at the Orangeville Animal Hospital. Thank you so very much for everything! I cannot express how much this clinic has helped. Not only are they very caring towards pets, they also express care toward the pet owners as well.

By far the best clinic in town! Dr. Armstrong is the most understanding and compassionate vet you will ever meet. She, and the other clinic staff, consistently put the health of your pet AND the pet owners emotions first. Receptionists always have a big smile on their face and work very effectively. Overall, a very well managed and organized clinic.
