★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is very unfortunate such a law firm believes that disabled people are responsible to provide for their own access. Such thoughts is very discriminating. Should a deaf person need a lawyer, the firm shall provide interpreter as per BC Human Right. How do you expect a person in wheelchair to build his/her own ramp to get into your office? It is very disappointing.

My case was settled out of court recently and I was content with the outcome.
Despite the difficult challenges we had, Janis with her impeccable legal knowledge fought for me by taking the high road which resulted positively in our favor.
Janis, you can put my case in the win column and may you continue to champion the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. Your calm demeanor, sympathetic ears and excellent knowledge of the law are admirable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During the last 4 years, we have been embroiled in a conflict after my late father passed. A sad time made more unfortunate when we had a disagreement with the executor of the will. My mom looked around and found Onyx law to represent us in the matter of working through the disagreement.
Throughout the otherwise rocky time having Onyx on our side has been a godsend. We were assigned Janis Ko and she couldn't have been more compassionate, informed and otherwise just a pleasure to work with. She definitely helped calm my sister and I down and was an excellent filter to the noise from the other parties involved (and many that weren't).
I hope there aren't any more conflicts over passing relatives, but Janis, and by extension Onyx Law has brought our family through a very trying time to a good place. I would recommend Janis to anyone.
