I would like readers to know that I strongly object to the advertising message of the Ontario Pork Producers which I saw on a TTC streetcar this morning. The message read "so good you will want to lick the bus". The message refers to "pork" which are "pigs".
I find this message offensive.
I tried calling the manager of customer relations, Mary Jean Quin to express my concern. I received a message on my voice mail which said "We (ONTARIO PORK PRODUCERS) do stand behind our messages and our choice of advertising and so we really have nothing more to say on that issue".
This answer is not what I was looking for and suggests strongly that the customer relations office at Ontario Pork Producers thinks it is doing a good job with their choice for advertising.
Well I disagree. I think Ontario Pork Producers have it all wrong.
Disgusting add which I will never forget and forgive.

Some people get their knickers in a knot over the silliest of things! I think the Ontario Pork council is doing a great job with supporting the pork industry and producers. Providing clarity to consumers through certification programs and helping educate producers as well. Thank you!
