The secretary never responds to the phone on purpose the mailbox is always full the government paying her for not working and using taxpayers money. I been calling for a week now this is been the story for the past year it is truly a shame a supervisor in this office doesn't supervise the employees lack of service this is embarrassing. I hope someone from the head office read this and fix this major embarrassing issue.

Staff never answer phones… workers call you back a week later even if you call everyday and state it’s an emergency…. COVID has reduced office hours but receptionist cant ever pick up the phone and seems to always be late… worker tells me constantly you guys are overwhelmed; maybe try showing up to work on time and putting in effort

My son's glasses broke and I am unable to get through to anyone for two weeks now, either by phone and emails. I am going to have to buy his glasses so he can see as they broke two weeks ago.

Was hung up on multiple times by the operator. I was calling in because I hadn't received my benefits and I had bills to pay. I was wondering when it might be so i could let the appropriate parties know (landlord internet etc etc)on top of that the last time she did pickup the phone she talked down to me like I was a child without letting me speak at all.

I have been trying to get to my mom’s caseworker for one month. I have left her 3 messsges by phone, I have called office several times, nobody picking up the phone, what kind of government office or support is this?! Nobody is responsible!!

Sincerely, I wish this was a productive or efficient program. From the beginning (filling out the intake forms, meeting with my caseworker for the first time, etc.) it’s been a struggle. Personally, I could handle the “get a second job” comment from my caseworker when I asked if the $1200 per month is the maximum assistance to receive or if there are any additional financial support programs to help. Mind you, I was already working a full-time job (despite how working directly impacts my specific disability and takes a massive toll on my health) and the deductions from assistance if you make over a certain amount (it may be $400 per month, based on my own calculations but my caseworker wouldn’t tell me how much I could make before they start deducting 50% of my pay) make it a very slow, uphill climb into some sort of basic living or income. There’s also the fact that clients are only allotted $500 per month for rent, which hasn’t even covered the cost of a single bedroom with communal living spaces to rent in years, much less a basic bachelor apartment. ODSP assistance hasn’t considered inflation in years and government financial assistance for our most vulnerable populations shouldn’t be under the poverty line. The tipping point has been the past two months. I had been submitting my paystubs through the fax machine email, as per usual, and I noticed they weren’t being added into MyBenefits. I attempted to call the general office, my caseworkers personal work phone number, message my caseworker through MyBenefits, and even send a message through the fax machine. Literally, nothing. For two months. I didn’t even stop with one attempt, either. I tried to contact my caseworker 1-2 times a week for over a month and a half. Finally, I was resubmitting paystubs in hopes that someone at the office would receive them. I resubmitted three different paystubs three times per paystub. MyBenefits was updated August 30 with a letter issued to me on August 18 stating that I hadn’t submitted my paystubs and therefore, my assistance would be on hold and I wouldn’t be receiving assistance for the next day. In a final effort, I called the general reception again and was able to finally reach someone. I explained what was going on and was transferred to a caseworker, whom was apparently covering my caseworker who had been away (“not for the entirety of the two months, so I’m not sure why you couldn’t contact her”- relief caseworker) I’d leave a review of the service, but there isn’t much service to be had. No one can be reached and if clients reach them they sound annoyed, expressionless, and rushed. Reasonable concerns are brushed off and excused, constantly. While the whole system needs to be improved, I’d really suggest trying a different office, if possible.

Absolute incompetent's caseworker. Caseworker was lazy ran me off the phone, gave me the wrong info several times, closed file when he wasn't suppose to. Was rude and disrespectful. I did not get the help I needed for my elderly sick parents. Notified manger of issue and still no help and no accountability. Manager was no help as well and ignored my concerns. They don't call back for weeks you have to chase them. This place needs a complete revamp. They don't care about these sick people that need help. Getting paid to do nothing. What is our tax dollars going toward?

The ODSP office in Toronto is the best ? . I did not know or say that when I lived there. But since moving to Richmond hill and getting transferred to Newmarket it’s been a nightmare. The ODSP worker has consistently ignored my calls not answering the phone never returning call for months now. Things are moving from bad to worse.
