About Okotoks Off Leash Dog Park

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Park has a bad reputation to the point I nearly didn't come here. However I've always found it to be good. Lots of nice friendly people to talk too. The only downside is its very flat, open and a bit boring but it's a good place to let the dogs off and chat to random people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very well maintained, good parking available (when it's not busy!), and a nice big, open space. I feel safe bringing my dog here, and my dog really enjoys it. Now we just need another one on the West side of town!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here for the first time, I was really impressed with the free poop bags, lots of waste bins and even water bowls. It was a reasonably good walk for the dogs but I did feel 2 rounds was needed for my German Shepherds. My only suggestion would be, build some small hills for the dogs to run up and down and definitely plant trees, lots of trees! (best time to plant trees is 20 years ago, 2nd best time is now!) It's just a very big field at the moment. Looking forward to seeing this park evolve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great fenced off leash dog park. I made the mistake of thinking that the paved walk around the storm water was part of the dog park until I found the actual dog park gate lol. It's reclaimed land from Nexen and is grasslands that have been fenced in. Walking the storm water loop and around the actual dog park twice took 45 min. Friendly dogs and owners. There are dog poop bags and water bowls with water jugs (big thank you to whoever keeps those filled up!). If you want to sit down, there are a couple of benches but lots of really big logs to sit on. There are bird houses along the outside of the fence and the garbage bins are located on the outside of the fence too, but are accessible from inside the fenced area- so clever! The garbage removal team doesn't have to drive into the park to clear out the trash! Highly recommend this park!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an appointment in Okotoks and brought my doggy along for the drive from Calgary. This was the first park that came up in a Google search and it's wonderful! Really big and fully fenced so no worries. And a gorgeous view of the mountains.
My pup had a few good romps before we hit the road back to Calgary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't go here very often as I usually walk my dog around the neighbourhood on the wonderful Pathways however it is nice to take my dog there for the social interaction with other dogs once in awhile this is a very nice dog park and I find the people that are there are very nice as well
