Let's just say that the ambiance was...lacking. Including service charges, an admin fee and taxes we paid $288.00 for two people to sit around for 4 hours waiting for food that was mediocre at best. Sure, the views of the city and the island were nice. But if you are charging this much money for a 4-course meal please make the minimum of an attempt to have some nice decor. The tables were all those fold up plastic tables people use for garage sales with a white cloth draped over. (see pic attached). They wobble when you cut your meat. No flowers, no candlelight, the music was barely heard. With this price maybe have some live entertainment? Not even a free drink was included! And when I tried to buy a bottle of white wine they were all warm. First course - one bacon wrapped scallop, two small pieces of cheese and two slices of green pepper. Oh wait, and a dried fig. Second course - arugula salad with the tiniest suggestion of goat cheese and a slice of beet. Main course - chewy roast beef and some overcooked vegetables. Third course - supermarket cheesecake. We boarded just after 6pm and didn't get the desert until 9:55 right before we pulled back into the dock. This is budget at every level. I would not recommend this to anyone sadly. Zero romance, zero vibes, zero mood. Do yourself a favour and hop on the island ferry for seven dollars and you'll have a much better experience.

address and directions to the dock where the boat apparently is, are so not right, they probably assume that people should know, .. we looked for over an hour.. couldn't find it.. so we waisted the money.. would not recommend this at all.

Staff were amazing but I give a 1 star review because mask wearing was not enforced for guests if they left their table. As the evening went in people totally forgot to wear their masks. Made me feel uncomfortable.

We did the Saturday brunch cruise. A waitress came by and asked if we would like anything just after boarding, approximately 20 minutes before departure, but we declined at that point thinking a glass or 2 of prosecco might be nice with our brunch. Our food was set on the table and all wait staff disappeared. At no time throughout the cruise did anyone come to any tables on the upper deck to check on our well being or to see if we would like anything. Food was unspectacular, and no offers of coffee or tea or anything else throughout the cruise. Absolutely zero commentary from the bridge. Not even a welcome on board, nor a thank you for joining us upon arrival back at the dock. Unfortunately a rather disappointing, unspectacular experience.

Nice evening excursion around Lake Ontario and the Toronto Islands. But I would have liked a clean boat. The boat had tons of large spiders and webs all over the ceiling and i even had to squash a few that came over to my dinner table. Not the level of cleanliness I would hope for a dinner cruise!! The chicken dish also came with cilantro mixed into the sauce which I was not informed of before selecting it. Such a contentious herb should be warned about as many people cannot eat cilantro, including myself. Finally, the cocktail prices were very high and the cocktails themselves very small. All around, this cruise could have been so much better than what it was. A little disappointing. We made the best of it but I would hope some improvements could be made in the future.

We booked a Dinner Cruise with Great Lakes Schooner Co. after having a positive experience on a Sunset Sail on their sailboat, the Kajama. The ship began boarding at 7 PM and we were given seats on the upper deck with amazing views of the downtown skyline. There were only 20 other people on the cruise with us instead of the regular 150 due to Covid-19 restrictions. It was nice to have plenty of space to roam around between and after courses. We felt very seasick at first, it got a bit better once the ship left the dock. Upon boarding and settling in we were offered to purchase drinks which are not included in the price of the cruise. The price of sodas and mocktails were reasonable at $3.50 each. Our seasickness prevailed throughout dinner and afterwards too. I am not someone who usually is sensitive to this, but I really couldn’t enjoy dinner due to the unsteadiness and lightheadedness. Unfortunately, the food also dampened our experience. We opted for the vegetarian option and the appetizers tasted inedible. None of us were able to finish our serving after a few bites. The spinach salad was thankfully more palatable. As for the main course, the vegetarian lasagna was hardly a lasagna. It was just cheese and pasta sheets atop of potato wedges. The only course we truly enjoyed was the chocolate cake for dessert. Also, the cruise felt terribly endless, from 7 PM to 11:30, 4.5 hours really felt unnecessarily lengthy. We were done dessert by around 8:45 but had to kill more than another 2.5 hours before we could go back to shore. On the upside, the views were beautiful, we saw the local Parks and CN Tower along with other buildings multiple times. The only other pleasant experience besides the views was the staff. Each and every staff member was accommodating, friendly and helpful. You could see their smiles despite their masks on! They were impeccably polite and incredibly genuine. They offered to serve us ginger ale multiple times to help with the nausea and really made us felt taken care of. I would recommend taking Gravol if you plan to go on the Obsession. Also, bring a few snacks in case the food is not to your liking.

Staff were super friendly and attentive, appetizer was delicious, salad was good, steak meal was decent but veggies were spicy and dessert was good. Coffee was not good at all.. tasted burnt as it was made very early in the evening. Beautiful views, nice atmosphere up top, boat was clean and the timing of the meal was well done. Music was good but got much too loud at times. Also oddly some chairs were different heights and mine was too high in comparison to the table.
