The lady in charge of the wedding dress dry cleaning was SO miserable. I was polite and friendly when asking about getting my wedding dress dry cleaned. She grunted out one-word replies, barked out that it would take 2 months and I needed to pay upfront, and seemed annoyed by my business. I completely regret going to them. Not focused on customer service at all. Very disappointing.

Well here’s a good old welcome to Medicine Hat dry cleaning! Wonderful Nutone Dry Cleaners ruined my dress!!! I just got it back to find the colour had bled into the white collar leaving which was once crisp and white now a bright red! On top of that they left the only white part that was left with a yellow stain, of what I’m not sure! This dress was immaculate up on arriving not a stain on it, I just wanted it freshened up for Valentines Day! I am thoroughly disgusted on this service! They should not be in service! DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING OF QUALITY TO THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY! They should stick to washing ONLY rig jumpsuits and rags because that’s all they seem capable at!!!!!!

I took my suit here on a bit of a rush job for an important event this weekend. Upon getting it back, it was stunningly perfect. There were a few sweat stains which were absolutely gone now, and everything matched perfectly. The whole suit was starched and iron flat, and it is as perfect as I had hoped for. Thank you Nutone, it was an incredible dry cleaning job.

Take a picture of your garments prior to dropping off. I took jeans in to get a zipper repair and when I picked them up the pocket of my jeans was torn up and the seam undone. The girl helping me agreed it was not like that when I dropped it off and said they would fix it. When I came back again to pick up, I inquired about the damage and curious as to why they would have me pay for the repair when it wasn't like that when I dropped them off. The owners were very confrontational, denied that they caused it and insisted it was like that when I dropped it off. Finally, they went and ask the nice gal who was originally helping me and even after she vouched for me, they spoke to me like I was trying to swindle them. I assured them several times I would just pay and they insisted that the damage on the pocket was my fault. Finally the owner said to me, in front of other customers, " I am not sure who is winning here!" This was while I was paying! I had been going to this dry cleaner for years. They could obviously see that in my account, yet it was total disregard for me or the circumstance and really just so very rude. I recommend taking a picture with the drop off tag on the garment prior to leaving so you can have evidence in the event something happens. If they had just apologized and re assured me that paying for the zipper was necessary, despite the hassle I probably would have obliged and left semi satisfied. Instead they spoke to me like I was nothing, and the woman even grabbed the mans arm at one point and told him to calm down he was so upset. It was ridiculous. I am concerned the original girl helping me got in trouble for telling the truth, that makes me feel ill that they would be nasty to her when she was trying just tell the truth. Stuff happens, I understand that, just have good service about it.

I did find the woman who helped me when I brought in my clothes a little short with her responses, however she seemed more weary of me and expecting bad behaviour on my part. Now, to be honest I don't really care, my clothes were cleaned wonderfully, and as my washer is broken and I have not been able to replace it, I am grateful that they even offer this service. I work nights and most often I'm exhausted, if I can delegate some things, and for not bad of a price, I'll take it. I also know, because of personal family experience, that not all people who seem to be not friendly or customer oriented may have an underlying medical reason for this and should not be judged too harshly, because you never know. Getting up everyday and going into work, where not always do they deal with model citizens, may be an excruciating experience. And I also know that we often see ourselves as we want not as we are. So, to yourself you may be acting like a well behaved person, but in reality, your tone of voice or choice of vocabulary actually comes off as a spoilt brat or a combative nitwit.

This place ruined my dress!!! It was a dry clean only dress and they washed it! All the padding in the front was pushed up into the top of the dress. The belt tacks in the back and eye of the hook were missing. They actually sent it home with me like this! I didn't notice until I went to put it in the dress bag. They tried to press the padding back flat when I took it back the first time...that's when they ironed all the pleats from the front out. Took it back again and they tried to iron the pleats back in and left spots on my dress. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING OF VALUE TO THIS PLACE! They may be able to wash coveralls but anything delicate beware!

I had a rather unpleasant experience with this business, and so hoping that writing this review will prompt the employee to reconsider how she treats customers entering the store. I came in hoping to have my wedding dress dry cleaned. The woman at the counter was very short with me, made it very clear that I was inconveniencing her, and stated that it would take 2 months to finish the job. She gave a quick look to my dress (which was just slightly dirty at the bottom) and said I would need to pay $200 + GST up front. She had no apparent method of choosing that price when asked, just said she knows how much work it takes and that would be the price. Based on our interaction, it was clear that my business was not valued. I ended up taking my dress to a place that took their time to quote the dry cleaning cost, and had a pricing chart they use to make that quote. Will not be returning to Nutone.
