S	Sierra van Arragon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean room, feels recently renovated. Mattresses were soft and seemed almost brand new. Loved the bathroom covered in wood paneling; made for a luxurious shower experience :) Beautiful views of the sunset and sunrise over Lake Superior!

Con: Nobody is around after a certain time at night, and if there is an emergency or something you need there is nobody to call or get ahold of. Make sure you have your room key at all times!
L	Lauralee Wallwork on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were too exhausted to make it to Thunder Bay so we stayed here. The positives: Clean rooms and comfy beds and pillows were appreciated. Handy on the highway. Negatives: We found the woman at the front desk to be abrupt and felt like we were bothering her. We were no told where to get ice and we arrived at 930 pm. Apparently she leaves around that time. We were so hungry and couldn’t find anything to eat. I know it’s covid times but takeout should still be available until at least 10! While it said they close at 10 they actually close at 8. Also no breakfast and the restaurant didn’t open until 1130??? It was quite pricey for what we got!
J	Janice McTavish on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Check in was good. Unfortunately wondering if all they did was make the beds. Toilet was filthy obviously not cleaned. Feces all around the bowl. Shower had open soap and a open bottle. Therefore did not Shower. Fridge had food in it. We had just had a 12 hour day driving andcwere exhausted. Was the last room. Did not complain and should have. Up and out the door at 6am. Great location and restaurant on a positive note. Will probably not stay there again.

No soap provided in bathroom (just a couple of hotel sized shampoo bottles)and with Covid this should be a staple! Small bar fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in room. No tea bags provided for us tea drinkers. The Drifters restaurant food was good but service not great as they are understaffed. The restaurant app for ordering takeout did not work. This is an adequate place for a 1 night stay with a dog in tow.
T	Tammy Frakking on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With not a lot of lodging options in terrace bay, we have stayed at the Norwood motel and The drifter motel (which are both owned by the same people and right across the street from each other) before. These are "covid times" so your travel experience is a little bit different than in previous years... The drifters restaurant (attached to the motel) we were surprised to hear was only open Monday to Saturday and from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Our room was sufficient, with a desk and a few chairs and fan, a coffee maker, a TV, a few lamps, a microwave, a fridge, everything we needed... Plus it was a pet friendly room. That was not required in our stay but it is nice to know that this is a hotel that allows you to travel with your pet. Two beds, windows that open (on both sides of the room...nice!!) and a bathroom which included a very pleasant DEEP bathtub. In room coffee makers were out of regular coffee at this time (due to supply issue) but the staff here were very kind in trying to find a substitute. There is a gas station located on the premises as well as a convenience store. We found the rooms to be comfortable and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, it was very quiet for sleeping, quiet dark and peaceful. You can pull your car right up to your front door which is convenient for unloading your luggage. Breakfast is not included.
