Since our son has started attending his social skills have improved, The school has an incredible way of teaching them how to think on their own feet through play and fun.

Since the owner Zaydet Delgado bought Tender Treasures in 2015 and renamed to Northern stars; the school is only about cutting costs and not for the kids. The staff from the original “Tender treasures” had all quit or wrongfully fired by poor owners within a year of new ownership. The staff is always changing as employees are asked to go against licensing and day care policies. There have been a lot of stories floating around about kids being seriously injured due to lack of supervision from illegal teacher/student ratio. Definitely ask around on different pages before signing up as there are many people willing to talk about their experience. Also review the ministry licensing inspection reviews on the Ministry of Education’s website. How they still have a licence floors me. Please do your research and ask a lot of questions for your children’s best interest.
L	Laura Coulter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After 5 months we pulled our children out. This daycare is now known as Northern Stars. My son came home in the same pull-ups he went to daycare in. By the time he got home he was soaked in urine and feces. Later during potty training he was coming home with a bag full of urine soaked clothing. So obviously we wasn't being changed or taken to the bathroom. He often had urine soaked shoes at home time. There was a boy in his class that was hitting and kicking my son and apparently the teachers too. Communication was terrible!! We never knew what was going on. They moved my infant daughter between the infant and toddler room depending on where they needed space. After only being there for 4 months they raised our rates, which were already high ($65. Per child per day). I would not recommend this daycare. There are a lot of teachers, but also a lot of turnover.

I am always welcomed with such warm hearting staff members, the clean environment, and the room organization for children to learn. Communicating with parents about their child’s development and what they are learning in school is important. NSMS has been up to date with everything. Teachers work extremely hard and the children are always learning by play and Montessori! Love, love, love it!

My children are very happy here and look forward to going Monday-Friday. The teachers/care givers have had such a great impact on my kids. I’m so glad my kids go here and I can’t say enough good things about them. The fact that anyone could speak poorly about them is upsetting. Northern stars truly goes above and beyond with their children. Take it from someone with THREE children enrolled! Communication is good. Anything I ever need to be aware of I AM indeed informed and if I ever have any questions I DO ASK and get the answers I need! Thank you Northern stars for the great service you continue to provide for our children. I definitely recommend this school. Where my children’s happiness and well being comes first.

The teachers are kind and caring, and they take health and safety seriously. They post daily photos for the kids’ loved ones to see, and their schedule prepares kids well for elementary school.

Every time I drop him off I feel like I am leaving him with family. When I pick him up, their love for each child is clear. They are located behind the plaza at Bayview and Little Ave. You can't beat the Montessori method!
N	Nicole Simec on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My twins have gone to Northern Stars Montessori since they were 1.5 years old, and they are now 4. They've been in the infant, then toddler, then casa room. I trust all of the staff as if they are close family. Their caring, kindness, and diligence has put us at ease. Our kids love going there so much that they miss the teachers and their friends when they are home with us time to time on vacation. It's going to be a very sad day when they have to move on to 'big kid school'. The facility is super clean and their communication is outstanding, especially when it comes to the ever-changing covid rules. The learning my kids have achieved since starting has been phenomenal, especially their speech . We love this daycare and I'll always have a special place in my heart for the teachers.
