About Northern Equipment Sales & Service
Northern Equipment Sales & Service, also know as Nothern Chain & Choker was founded in 1995. We first began with the sales of skidder chains, mainlines and chokers. The demand for parts (new and used) and services in forestry shown by customers have encouraged us to grow and expand. Look at us now, we have become a business with the most inventory in the region.
We are located on the Northshore Channel of Lake Huron, in the community of Iron Bridge near Blind River which is located on the Trans Canadian Hwy 17.
All inquiries can be made either by sending us an e-mail, by telephone or drop by the shop from Monday to Saturday. For your convenience, we take calls after hours until 10pm.
Due to smaller profit margin in the forestry business, the demand for increasing services is needed. Having been in the logging business for many years, we know the necessity of those extra services.
Our goal is to provide our customers complete satisfaction on parts (new or used) and services!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These folks helped me out a big jam. I had a tire blow in Bruce Mines on a boat trailer I was pulling. We went to every tire / trailer place we could find in the area. The nice folks at Rankin (Thessalon) called here - they had exactly what I needed. I left Thessalon and came straight here - they had the tires already mounted and ready to go by the time I pulled in. Helpful, friendly, and got the job done ASAP when it needed to be.
I would be happy to come here again, would travel out of my way to see them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the place to buy a tractor. I bought a new left over Branson 6640c over the phone during the height of covid. The husband and wife team was true to there word and sent all the pictures answered every question we had. They had the tractor floated down to me by a very professional driver and gave me some swag (hats stickers etc etc) all the required filters and such for my first service. Paul and Gisele will have our business when it come time for another Branson tractor to add to the farm.
