You will need the following:
1. International Coggins Test - Good for 6 months.
2. Health Certificate - Good for 30 days.
3. There is no vet check necessary at the border.
In order to bring your horse into Canada, you must have a current health certificate and negative Coggins report. When entering Canada, a Customs Inspector will check the health certificate and negative Coggins, inspect the horse, and if he is satisfied that all is in order, will stamp the certificate and send you on your way. The health certificate is good for a 30 day stay in Canada. On returning to the US, you may be requested to produce your papers again and a similar scrutiny will occur in order to return to the US.
