My son likes this place. Always goes there in good mood. They provide only snacks, no lunch. So you have to bring your own. I am ok with that. Very nice people work there.

I think my husband (John Smith) mixed up something. When we were at the center the staff told us that the director is out on vacation. So I apologize for that and wish a 5 star upon the daycare.

The Director running the daycare at NKLT is one of the most passive-aggressive, condescending people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in a professional setting in my life. The rest of the staff and the program itself were fine, but when a person who is so intolerable and unreasonable that your stress levels increase the closer you get to daycare, and you worry daily if she will try to pick a fight with you in front of your kids at drop-off or pick-up there is something fundamentally wrong. Without getting into specifics, it got to the point where my wife and I were keeping a daily log of our interactions with the Director, and a formal complaint was made (which went nowhere). Talk about stress! In our short time there, we observed a revolving door of staff, who were all great with the kids. This made our kids perpetually sad and constantly asking us why their favourite teachers kept leaving. On more than one occasion, staff members, when we asked why they were leaving, quietly told us they could no longer put up with the Director of the daycare. As parents of twins, we felt stuck between a rock and a hard place when weighing the pros and cons of leaving a center in search of another (that had TWO open spots) because of one petty individual in power. Ultimately we decided it wasn't an environment we trusted with the care of our children 45 hours a week. We pulled them out, and while we couldn't really afford to, we placed them in a more expensive home daycare in the interim while we looked for another centre near us. Thankfully we have found another center in the area for our two kids which has been absolutely incredible. Finding childcare in Winnipeg is no easy task, so when you find an opening at a center, it quite honestly feels like you've won the lottery. This is one lottery you don't want to win. Avoid.

The director is professional and very on point. She seemed concentrated and made sure the day was structured but more important she concentrates more on the children's safety than anything else. I don't see why the daycare is getting bad reviews. The staff is friendly and the kids seem to love it there. I've been to many daycares and this is my favourite, just because it is a structured daycare. There is nothing better for a child than having a fun, structured and learning day and go home after to enjoy the time with it's parents. I wish that the daycare keeps up the good work and wish well to the employees (incl. the director), children and the parents.

My son has been attending this daycare for 2 plus years and I feel at ease knowing that he is in a very safe environment which is most important to me. I think the Director, Marge, does a good job in ensuring that the children are safe and that they are learning. When my son was about to start the daycare and Marge was showing me around, I noticed that she was paying more attention to and placing more effort into watching the kids than to our conversation, which I really admired. The rest of the staff is friendly and professional and they take very good care of my son.

Our son has been going to North Kildonan Little Thinkers in Burnett a month after we arrived here in Winnipeg and he’s been with them for 5 months now. The teachers are so caring and they do so many activities with the kids. All the staff are amazing! We also get a feedback on what he does during the day, his milestones, etc. Our son loves going NKLT and it's never a struggle bringing him there. We absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for an awesome daycare!

I never went with this day care, because they say we go by policy which is great ,however it became worst when they make the policy for there own benefit and ease .Center head Marge sound sweet and frndly but she is not .Its a trap ,she is keep on saying that world has changed because of covid and we stopped this and that because of covid ,but the irony is she haven't changed herself and the stupid policy. Please ignore this day care , I know we as a Winnipeggers has very few options for daycare but trust me ignore this one

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work here summer of 2021, as well as substitute for shifts throughout the year. Working with Marg (the owner) and Breanne (the supervisor) was always enjoyable, as well as the rest of the staff, super friendly. I looked forward to coming to work every day, it was a very positive environment. It’s evident staff here at NKLT truly care about the children and do their best to ensure a happy, safe environment. Nothing but good to say about this child care center!!
