North Channel Literacy Council provides free adult education programs to Elliot Lake, Blind River, and surrounding areas. This Employment Ontario Program is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario and through the Canada-Ontario Job Fund Agreement.

Greg is enjoying an active retirement after 30 years in public education in the Ontario Elementary system. A former teacher, librarian, and vice-principal, Greg spent ten years as an investigator and mediator at the Ontario Human Rights Commission. He believes that education is a life-long process.
Greg currently serves on several boards, including the Elliot Lake Public Library and Elliot Lake Pride. He is the Executive Director of the Northern Ontario Pride Network and Education Coordinator for the Elliot Lake Red Wings Junior 'A' hockey club. He believes that NCLC provides an excellent opportunity in Elliot Lake, Blind River and the North Shore for residents to learn and apply new skills in their personal and working lives.
