Kris and Kevin are wonderful guys, they are precise and very professional.- making sure every last bit is accounted for before starting the job. We had a contractor called Mario remove our upstairs wardrobe and flooring - he managed to remove all the dirt and flooring without leaving any trace through the house, work was a little behind at times mainly because he was trying to work around existing furniture and not deciding before hand what flooring and banister to purchase for our stairs. Ameen came and finished off the job and he is meticulous - takes his time on everything he does and is a great energy in the house when you are having work done. They will make sure you are 100% happy before finishing the job!

We had already purchased our tile, bathtub, shower column, tub door, vanity/faucet, bathroom door and required a contractor to change the layout in our (very) small main bathroom. We received quotes from 3 separate companies. Norseman was the mid-range quote. Draft contract had to be revised, because wording in 2 different sections implied that we were paying more than the quote that was given to us. This was fixed by Norseman very quickly with no problems. Greg and Yuri were assigned to our project. The renovation went smoothly and quickly. After demolition was completed the scope of work had to be changed to include some insulation in an exterior wall, the quoted cost for the additional work was reasonable. We were required to buy some additional items after the renovation started and both Greg and Yuri were very specific and helpful with what needed to be purchased, so we were not wasting time or money with incorrect items. Final hand off had occurred on a Friday. Over the weekend we noticed a few small things missing. We informed Norseman on the following Monday, and the fixes were addressed by Wednesday. We are very happy with the end results. We will contact Norseman again for quotes on future renovations needs.

Hired by Morrissa Amsel to brick up a window opening today. The window had the brick mould attached to the window leaving the window casing 2 inches smaller. Their framer framed the opening to accommodate the brickmould not the casing…both framer & Morissa wanted the window to be flush with the interior framing. This would’ve left the air gap between the brick and wall exposed.. I took four hours out of my morning trying to explain to both framer and Morissa that this is not correct. I was trying to explain that this is going to cost you more in the end because now you have to either get a flashing contractor or 2 inches of caulking to fix this… Usually windows do not come with brick moulds…This practice of installing windows is not correct… my name is on the line and I didn’t want this to come back on me. I’ve never been treated the way how I was treated today by her within my five years in business. Due to my looks I look very young… people usually don’t take me seriously. She hung up the phone on me and didn’t even want to hear what I had to say… after hearing that I was the third Mason on this job raised very big suspicions for me being here in the first place. I trusted her and she should’ve trusted me. I showed up to the job site with materials already paid and no deposit. I took her word as she appeared to be very nice. In reality she doesn’t know what’s going on… and here I look bad trying to save you guys money on your framing mistake.. If you would like to get this post removed, I expect my time to be payed… that being said Morissa seems very overly stressed and I don’t feel this is the right position for her. Would love to work with you guys again as I feel this occurrence was one big communication mistake.

I was nervous because I had poor experiences with other contractors before but I was very impressed by Norseman's quality of work, responsiveness and their invoicing. They even have a fancy online portal to track the project that you can see invoices and approve change orders on. Shout out to Bryan and Arben for a great experience overall. The total opposite of contractors who don't reply, show up late and demand to be paid in cash without quoting/invoicing properly.

Mohammed Hagshenas oversaw our second floor addition and remodel. It was an absolute pleasure working with him. The project was on time and on budget. Mohammed was always available and very attentive to our concerns.the project was completed with out issues due to the fact that Mohammed and his team were able to head off any potential problems before they happened. I have no problems recommending Norsemen and Mohammed. I will be definitely using them for any future projects.

I researched & interviewed several construction companies as I wanted to ensure a smooth process that was overseen by professional people & standards. I ultimately decided on Norseman because of the sales process with the initial person (Bryan) & then that they would have a handoff to a project manager for the job. I also wanted a company who would collaborate in bringing their expertise to the table. While we knew exactly what we wanted, the collaboration on how to best achieve things was key. This process turned out very well as the PM is your direct contact & is responsible for overall management of the project. I’m a PM in another industry & respect how Norseman's process worked so well. Also, the PM (Greg) was fantastic & exactly the resource we’d been hoping for. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the project, is easy to chat with, can answer questions quickly, keeps you informed, & helps move the project forward in any way he can. All the necessary tradesmen needed for each part of the reno were so talented, professional, & an absolute pleasure to have on the project (looking at you Steve & Artem). The bathroom reno was a complete success. And we're looking forward to our next project with them - no need to look further than Norseman.

Our job was not a small one, an entire house renovation, from top to bottom including a basement underpinning. The team at Norseman was great and our project manager, Mohammad Hagshenas, was fabulous. They were responsive, attentive and walked us through each step. Mohammad was always available to us and Kevin Potts was attentive and made us feel our project was important. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Thank you!

Update on my original review below. We finished the renovation with Norseman and could not be happier with the result. Doing a renovation throughout COVID presented many challenges (supply chain, delays in permitting etc.), but I can honestly say Norseman was not one of them. They met with us weekly to review the project and every other day we would receive photos and updates via their cloud based project management tool (builder trend). Our project manager was Rob, who was great! Rob on several occasions went above and beyond to make sure our house was taken care of. Kevin was also great and even when we ran into bumps, they came with solutions not excuses. Overall, we would definitely recommend them and likely work with them again in the future. Previous review below: My husband and I have had a great experience working with Norseman. We are adding a back addition to our Scarborough bungalow and renovating the interior as well. The entire team from Kris, Kevin, Howard and Shahid are so easy to deal with. Shahid, who is the Norseman architect, has been phenomenal and very flexible. He worked hard to understand our needs and design a floor plan that works for our family. We have two young boys, one with special needs, and the design needed to work for our family. We've also had the pleasure to engage Norseman for interior design services and are so happy with the work. We can't wait for the finished product but wanted to share a positive review for the work done so far. Thank you Norseman!
