★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food forest with a seed library out front. Closed for the winter and currently replaced with books. There's some plants outside, unlabelled.
Very inclusive space for everyone, and a lot of thoughtful consideration was placed here from its design to its operation. For example, "the Indigenous Foodlands team at RCFJ have been working to integrate more Indigenous medicines among the food plants" as well as their goal being to create a foodlands corridor.
Many workshops are provided throughout the year (I believe some have been on Zoom in the past year.) A great way to build community, care for food sustainability and food justice while adding in the love of nature and horticultural practices :)
