★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nordstrom tried to resell my coat after I purchased it.
I bought a coat which had loose buttons. The sales person said they didn't offer discounts for damages but could have their in store alterationist fix the buttons. I was promised the coat back within a few days. I wasn't able to make it back in the store until a week later. I sat for 30+ minutes while they searched for my coat. Imagine my surprise when one staff member found it on the rack where I found it with the security tag back on. Nordstrom quite literally sold me a coat then tried to sell it again. To top it off, the buttons were still loose, so I was told I could wait an hour or they would make sure to have it delivered to my house. I decided to stick around and throw away an hour of my life just in case the sales associate who called me Mary and wrote my name and address on a scrap of receipt paper "lost" my information and sold my coat to someone else. I can't be sure if this was all due to gross incompetence or if Nordstrom simply resells already purchased items that haven't been claimed quickly enough. Regardless, I will never be shopping at Nordstrom again.
Update: took the garment out at home and it had the security tag on it. Can't make this stuff up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Menswear section; there was a young gent who started assisting me who was very helpful. Five stars for him really, he earned the extra star in this review. But then… there was another associate. He was on his phone most of the time and cut off the young man, only paying me any attention once I decided to make a purchase. After briefly dealing with another associate who had a lightly-demeaning attitude—I was dressed to head out to the climbing gym—I decided to leave instead, sans purchase.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was feeling a little self conscious today and felt like I was not my best, I know this is not a journal page. But, NICOLE JACKSON IS GREAT!
She helped me out and made my day by advising some samples that make you smell great.
Overheard her talking to her team and advising a young associate that she is there to help, a true leader and a great representative. 100 percent recommend checking out the Tom Ford Colognes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a very special event coming up and until yesterday, no elegant dress to wear.
Nordstrom is rarely on my list of go-to stores, until now.
The service I received was over and above what I hope for. Nicole assisted me and with her guidance I tried on a dress that looked nothing on the hanger but was stunning when worn. The price was extraordinarily low. Had I shopped alone without assistance I should not have found the perfect dress.
I’ll put Nordstrom on my list now look forward to more successful shopping events. Thank you Nicole.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I went to pick up a jacket from Nordstrom. We were looking at a jacket and didn't notice the sales associate. Marilyn was so kind and complimented my wife for the jacket she was trying on.
We later told her the particular jacket we were looking for. Marilyn tried to find the jacket in the system and tried to find one in the back. She couldn't find the jacket in the back and offered to help us order it online.
As we were placing the order Laura came to our till and found the jacket we were looking for. Laura's attentiveness is commendable! She was super kind as well.
What I found fascinating that Marilyn gave the sale to Laura for finding the jacket. The jacket was worth over $1700 and I am sure it could have a small impact on their sales stats. I have worked in sales in the past and it is very competitive industry when it comes down to the sales targets. You don't normally see a sales associate give away a sale to their coworkers. I'm not downplaying Laura's efforts nor I am saying who should be getting the sale but I genuinely felt like Marilyn helped us like a friend.
The management is truly fortunate to have people like Marilyn. I will continue to shop here as long as I see people like Marilyn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great experience in the summer of 2021 with a sales associate in mens apparel, I believe his name was Abdel. He seemed very knowledgeable, kind, patient and helpful. He helped me pick out a wonderful outfit for my husband for an important event we had. This experience has left an amazing lasting impression on me and this store.

Superb product selection and on top of it, an outstanding restaurant within the store itself that we have gone to many a time! Take a load off and unwind for a bit in the restaurant while you check off your who's naughty and nice list!
