I would like to give kudos to my friend the shoe maker on St. Anne's Road. He has never failed to repair my boots to a gold standard. Also, he found the answer to my slipping in my mukluks. He is a credit to the community. When they made him they threw away the mold. This cowboy thanks you. You are a good friend. I pass along a saying to him. I’ve not used Norbert Shoe Repair yet, but will do in the future based on the wonderful reviews I’ve read. The one bad review from a very difficult customer who seemed intent on getting the word out about how awful he thought the owner was to him. I’ve a couple of things to say to this “man.” You seem stuck on being spoken to as if you were a child. Did it ever occur to you that you might have been acting like a spoilt child when you discovered you couldn’t have what you wanted immediately? You refused to take the word of a man with over 30 years experience in the business. You were right and he was wrong. Yet you knew absolutely nothing about shoe repair, which is very complex. I wondered where you had gained such knowledge to argue this point with such an experienced man! Apparently you wanted something glued, which you stated would only take 5 minutes. Are you aware of the myriad of different types of glues available and for certain types of circumstances. Of course your not, or you would have done these repairs yourself. So, in light of this you STILL chose to argue with a professional. Perhaps next time, when your doctor perhaps tells you you might have high blood pressure, and chastises you about your diet, you might again have a temper tantrum about being told something by someone who is an EXPERT in their field.

I have a pair of hiking shoes that I greatly love, to which the top fastened eyelet had popped off while tying my shoes. I went into Norberry Shoe Repair in hopes to have this fixed. The last time I needed the same repair, it was immediately taken and fixed in 5 minutes and I was on my way. This visit, I was lectured by the proprietor about the time I should have been there had I wanted it repaired with no regard for me and that I had other responsibilities. It wasn't even suggested that he would repair it this evening for me to pick up tomorrow prior to my departure to go hiking. No effort was made to try and work out anything that worked I was told in a condescending manner, "You should have come in this morning," to which I immediately turned and left exclaiming 'It shouldn't be this difficult'. What was previously a few minute repair was treated as an impossible task and I wasn't even a worthwhile customer to try and assist me in any other way. I will never return. as for your response, I went to another shoe repair shop after leaving yours and was assisted in a pleasant manner and sent away with my shoes repaired. My issue with you... is that you had handled me in a condescending manner that was rude and abrasive. It was NOT handled professionally. That's the difference. DO NOT LECTURE POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS! Since you still keep responding to my post as recent as a week ago, I need to state it clearly, my main issue is not that you were unable to do the repair, my issue was in how I was spoken to. You talked to me like a condescending grandfather. You could have handled my inquiry like a professional, only after I was offended by you did I storm out of your shop. I will still never return. You don't know how to actually listen.

I chose this place after looking over some Google reviews. I brought 2 pairs of boots in that needed some zippers replaced, and one pair needed extensive work to rebuild the bottom of the boot since they were very worn. But I love them and they were very expensive so I wanted to extend their life. The man who owns this place did a fantastic job! I couldn't have asked for anything more! Very pleased with the service. Pricing was very fair. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality shoe repair.

I have been taking my repairs to Norberry Shoe repair for many years and have always had exceptional service. Never waited longer than a week for anything and the repair was always done very professional. The community is a better place with his business in St. Vital, he fixes your leather and shoes, or whatever and I've never had to bring it back. I will continue to get my repairs done here, as he is the best in the city!

This business gives outstanding service. I have taken shoes and purses there over many years. They are fixed so well that they are even stronger than when they were new. The repairs are usually invisible. As well, I have always thought the prices charged were very reasonable. I read a previous review from a customer who expected an immediate repair on a Friday afternoon. That seems very unreasonable to me. I do not know of many repair businesses that can do immediate repairs. Would she take her car to the garage to get the brakes fixed and be upset when they couldn't take her car in right away? I don't think so.

AMAZING SERVICE! Had a sole put on a pair of homemade mukluks. VERY happy with the results! Went above and beyond by also weather-proofing the boots! I have always been happy with the service provided by Norberry Shoe Repair! Kudos!
