NITS THAI FOOD - Moose Jaw

4.3/5 based on 8 reviews
Saskatchewan's Only Authentic Thai Food

Thai cuisine reflects the people who created it. Both embody subtle beauty and sophisticated balance that are carefully combined to give pleasure. The balance comes through the skillful combination of spices, herbs and seasonings to orchestrate the fundamental flavours in each dish or the overall meal - hot(spicy), sour, sweet and salty.

Contrary to the sometimes-popular misconception that Thai dishes are mostly hot and spicy, the fact is that far more are pleasantly mild. The heat in spicy dishes comes from the red or green chili peppers. Thais call them "phrink" and have slyly amusing names for the hottest of them. Your server can bring you up to speed on chilies, from the mildest to the scorching strong.

Enjoyable and very casual Thai spot right on the main drag of Moose Jaw. It’s a limited selection but the food is pretty good. I had the Pad Thai, it could have used a little more meat in it but overall I left full and satisfied. They do offer more than just Thai food, like burgers and even some Chinese dishes.

My girlfriend and i went to nits for some Chinese food. We ordered chow mein and they gave us vegetables. So we complained and asked for our chow mein. The waitress kept arguing with us say it is chow mein. They also took forever to take our drink orders. They are just really rude. I dont recommend. If i could give less than 1 star i would.

Staff is friendly, food can be spiced up, "Tai hot" is perfect. And well priced, portion size is good value for money. One of my favorites in the MJ area.

The service was good, good flavor. But pricey for the amount of foods and dirty in general. We had tom yum soup. For $19, only had a few strands of beef and a few pieces of mushroom in clear broth with rice. The spring rolls were hard, may be baked. Missing the crispy texture. Very disappointed for the price and the foods we got.

I cannot rave about Nit’s Thai enough! I was there with a sizeable group last week & I ordered in two weeks ago. Just incredible both times. Such flavour! Food arrived hot. Amazing value for money (quantity). Great service too. When I ordered in, I tried to order through the website but my credit card sometimes makes things tricky. I called and they helped me try a couple different payment methods before we were able to make it work (my card just has a tricky CVV situation). Anyhow, they were so patient. Such a great experience both times end-to-end. Things we loved: Tom Kha Guy (Coconut milk chicken lemongrass soup) Lab (Beef salad) Pud Thai And the little green leaves with the crunchy coconut & amazing sauce. Everything was amazing.

Authentic Thai food on the on the prairies. Spring roll and coconut soup is our favorite order, but do make sure to ask if they have thai leaves in stock for their leaf wrap appetizer.

A few days ago, my friend and I came here for lunch and ordered beef, pork and frog leg. I especially recommend frog leg (the highest spicy degree). The taste is very good. It is very rare to find a very delicious Asian restaurant in this small town (by the way, most Asian restaurants are not open that day). I will visit this place again
