I started coming because it was close to my house and I was looking for a way to become better at interviews. I am always guaranteed a fun meeting with lots of laughs and support.

This club is made of well balanced variety of ethnicity, career and cultural background, as well as age groups. The collective spirit of this club's membership is to learn, practice, and share with a supportive, fun seeking atmosphere. It is a great place to start your growth of communication and leadership skills, and make some new friends!

I visited about 10 clubs before deciding on this one. Besides a convenient location with free parking, the meeting area is really spacious with high ceilings. The deciding factor for me though was the friendly and diverse group of people. It's a perfect mix of fun and professionalism in a chill and supportive environment. Convenience and fun makes all the difference. It's amazing how much members progress in a short time. I look forward to the meetings every week.

After my very first meeting as a guest at Night Vision Toastmasters, I was ready to join. The members welcomed me readily, and despite not knowing a single person in the club that first night, I quickly felt at home with this group. Experiencing such a diverse club first-hand was a pleasure. I feel lucky to have heard from and learned alongside such a lovely bunch of people, all with varying perspectives and life experiences. I am grateful for the leadership, mentorship, and public speaking development I experienced while I was a member. It has done wonders for my public speaking and confidence, practicing among the people of this club. I live in Tsawwassen, so while I had to commute a fair distance to attend the meetings, it's more than worth the drive. I have such fond memories of this club, and while it was sometimes hard to find time to attend, being a full-time student, I greatly look forward to coming back when I finish school.

I visited a few Toastmasters clubs and found Night Vision Toastmasters to be really warm, welcoming, and also a lot of fun. The members are relatively young - or at least young-at-heart - and have a lot of great stories to share. Everyone is really supportive, goal-oriented, and genuinely interested in improving their public speaking skills, whether for work, or to become a better punk rock performer / showman (seriously!). I joined with the intention of improving my skills for work, but I'll keep going back because I actually have a lot more fun than I expected I would with speaking in front of a crowd.

When I first became interested in toastmasters, I visited a few clubs trying find one that I liked. What immediately grabbed me that first night I visited Night Vision Toastmasters was everyone was in costume! (it was a Halloween meeting, apparently). Next aspects I was impressed with was the big meeting room, the diverse and friendly members, comprising of mostly young professionals from different backgrounds, ethnicity, and careers. Since then, I have stayed and been a member for over 4 years, had the privilege to serve in several officer positions, including as the club president. I keep coming back week after week because every meeting is full of energy and laughter, and lifts me up no matter how bad my day or week had been.

I've visited some clubs before I joined Night Vision TM. I believe in fact based decision making and here are my reasons to chose the club: 1) The club is not focused on membership explosion, in fact the club wants only really passionate members who want to improve their communication and leadership skills. 2) Being a relatively smaller club, it's a very close knit community where everyone gets a chance to speak and everyone is encouraged to speak. 3) Smaller club means you get to deliver your speech more often. 4) I believe that the club has a nice balance of proficiency levels and always presents an opportunity to watch and learn.
