Nicole A. Sawchuk, Barrister & Solicitor - Prince Albert

Carla was born and raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.  Prior to beginning her legal studies, she completed a year in open studies at Briercrest College and Seminary.  Carla also obtained an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a major in French at the University of Regina, spent a year in rural France teaching as an English language assistant in elementary schools and interned with a Cameroonian language development non-profit organization in Yaounde, Cameroon.

Carla attended McGill's Faculty of Law in Montreal, QC from 2014 to 2017 where she completed the faculty's bilingual and bijural transsystemic degree program to obtain degrees in both the civil and common law legal traditions.  Following law school, Carla moved back to Prince Albert and surrounding area and has appeared before all levels of Court in Saskatchewan:  Provincial Court, Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal.

Since moving back home, Carla has enjoyed getting involved in the community and volunteering with non profit organizations, such as the Prince Albert Food Bank.  She also enjoys all the recreational activities that Prince Albert and area boasts year-round with her young growing family.  During the summer months, gardening with her husband and spending time with her extended family's grain farm or bison ranch are a few of her favourite things.

Carla has a growing practice in the areas of Family Law, Civil Law, Real Estate and Wills and Estates.  Carla is also a Mediator, who is passionate about providing alternative dispute resolution options to people in disagreement who want to reach a mutually satisfactory solution.  She is recognized as a mediator pursuant to section 44.01 of The Queen's Bench Act as a family law mediator.  Carla is an approachable and practical lawyer, passionate about providing sound advice and timely solutions to her clients.
