We went about 4, it closes at 5. I wish we went a little earlier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're coming to Niagara Falls for a history lesson, start here. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. There is a lot about the War of 1812, but also much more about the history and science of the area, including items about present-day Niagara Falls and the people.
Because of Covid some of the interactive exhibits are out of service, however they incorporated QR codes on the displays which link to videos about the exhibit. I recommend bringing a headset/headphones.
Other reviews will mention that visiting the museum was free due to the pandemic, but as of the middle of August 2021 they are charging $5/person.
Four stars because the parking lot was closed due to construction but this information was no where to be found prior to our arrival.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reception was lukewarm but admission is relatively inexpensive given the fantastic exhibitions. A one of a kind War of 1812 collection highly recommended for those with an interest in the matter. Thankful these intuitions exist.
