I found his general outlook on the markets to be very realistic, and was impressed that whatever stock he was asked about by callers, he knew about them and had a view. It was notable that he had no props; all the relevant info was in his head! So here was a person who either had a photographic memory or was really into his work, or both. I told my wife about my 'discovery', and we made sure to watch/tape Ryan's future Market Call appearances. There was another important aspect about Ryan that continued to grow on me. Most money managers will pay lip service to putting their clients' needs ahead of their own but I began to believe that Ryan truly meant it and practiced it. Eventually, my wife and I set up a personal meeting with him at Newhaven's downtown office. We posed tough questions, and were more than satisfied with Ryan's responses. We opened an account at that meeting, and have continued adding money to it ever since. Clearly, we are satisfied with the relationship and the returns Ryan has generated for us.
