β β β β β The food is good, but each time we order it takes longer for our order to be filled. We placed an order at 6PM with them tonight. 2 hours & 20 minutes later it still was not ready. That is beyond ridiculous. We will never order from them again.

β β β β β The host and her daughter or apprentice were very friendly and welcoming.
My partner and I had ordered take-out.
Me- 168. combination B: $8.00
Partner - 124. Chicken or pork with bean sprouts chow mein.
The meal was ready in approximately 15 minutes.
The food looked typical of a North American Chinese restaurant.
I had expectation for the flavour and I was not disappointed, however, the rice had a burnt flavour to it. At the very least I was satisfied with my order.
My partner was at the opposite spectrum of me. She did not enjoy the flavour of the noodles, but thatβs ok we all have varying taste buds.
The overall presentation of the restaurant, friendly welcome, price of the meal and flavour, Iβm giving 4 out of 5.

Would still recommend this place--especially on those wintry evenings; still reliably driven by a good kitchen and a well-meaning owner in 'Terry'. Like a faithful pair of warm slippers...

β β β β β Had the Spice Peanut Noodle Soup with Deep fried Pork Chops and the Cantonese Chow Mein. The soup was fantastic. Very tasty and perfectly spicy. My daughter loved the chow mein so much that she said she wants to go back on her birthday. I'm looking forward to a second visit.

β β β β β My husband loves Chinese food with a passion. I'm not quite at his level of devotion, but this place is really good. The Golden Inn Beef is my favorite, and any of their hot plate choice are delicious. Word of warning: don't get the fried rice. There's absolutely nothing special about it, very bland and dry. Other than that, this is a great place.

β β β β β The food is delicious and the combo plates are a very good deal! Order early though as once the dinner rush starts, the wait for food can take hours. If you order shortly after they open, the food will be hot, yummy, and on time!

β β β β β We've been ordering from these folks for close to 20 years. Yeah, a couple times we've had wait times that we felt unreasonable, but when you order 4-5 times a year that's not a bad ratio in all this time.
More important the food has always been consistent, in flavour, portion size (huge!) and quality. It often arrives so hot and well-packed you almost need oven mitts to handle the containers. And they always throw in extra goodies with our regular ~$70 order - wontons, fortune cookies, lots of sauce packets.
We consider "the bomb" dishes are their spring rolls, honey sesame chicken, honey spiced beef with ginger and kung po shrimp. (the breaded veal has arrived over-cooked a couple times, and the lemon chicken has been inconsistent.)
We've tried a couple other Chinese restaurants in our neighbourhood... higher price point and weren't more impressed.
