New Expression Nails and Spa is a trusted and beloved nail salon destination for over 10 years! We were previously located at the Stadium Shopping Centre, but relocated in 2018 to the Shaganappi Village Shopping Centre in Varsity Drive.
We are happy to say that we have one of the newest spa pedicure chairs available, designed for your comfort! We also have over 250 shellac colours for your choosing, and specialize in bio-seaweed (for clients who have sensitive nails), liquid-gel, powder-gel, and acrylic nails.
At New Expression, all of our clients are guaranteed a relaxing and marvellous experience, fit for kings and queens (as well as your little princes and princesses). Of course, to have a relaxing experience, we always make sure that your safety and health are our main priority. We always use single-use pedicure bowl liners to make sure that everything is always kept clean and sanitary, hospital-grade UV disinfectant cleaning machines (made in the USA) for all tools and instruments between each and every customer, and use single-use bedding for waxing tables (which are changed for every client after each use). ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ VALUE FOR $! I have been going to New Expression for years and it is because the owner/managers are very friendly and take the time to get to know you. The salon is clean and they follow all COVID protocols. I was there for well over an hour yesterday for a pedicure and manicure with no polish. Tu really took the time to ensure a great outcome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought my bestie for a late birthday pedi. The staff were excellent. They chatted and joked with us. Our pedis were thorough and well done but quick. Pricing was extremely fair as well. It was my first experience. it's like a factory chain: The dad cleaned my feet, the mum did my hands and then the daughter applied the nail polish on hands and feet. I did not feel comfortable at all. The dad was very abrupt and not very gentle even in the way he treated my feet. He didn't feel like a "nice" treatment at all. The mum spent less than 2 minutes on each one of my hands. The water that she used was cold. The daughter was the best one of the three. The final result was acceptable but not great. The price is the only positive aspect of the treatment - they are cheap compared to some of their competitors. But you get what you pay for. I wouldn't go back for sure. I left feeling unsatisfied. Not a pleasant experience.

I get my gel done here and I won't go anywhere else now. Everyone is always so friendly and they work hard to accommodate people for appointments.
I give total creative freedom to Joanne for my nails and I have never been disappointed. Very talented and I am always so happy with what she does and excited to see what she'll do next.
The few times I have broken a nail (always my own fault) they have fixed them for me at no charge.
Such a happy environment, they really create relationships with their customers and it's easy to see why they have so many people that have been going there for years.

They were able to get me in on short notice and my nail technician did a great job in a timely manner. The prices are very reasonable and you don’t lose out on quality. A few days later I chipped a nail and again they got me in right away and fixed the nail at no charge. I usually like trying out new salons around the city, but I’ll definitely be returning to this salon again in the future.
