Congenial folks! Met the owner and had a great conversation with him about their brews and brewery. We chose a selection of IPAs, lagers, and a scotch ale to take home. Each was very tasty: lagers especially impressive to me because of the lighter but still flavourful taste. IPA had that citrusy taste you'll recognize if you're a fan of the craft brews. The tasting room was open though we didn't have the time to stay. It's very comfortable and inviting - definitely plan to return some time when we have time to sit and talk. Neustadt, the town, is worth the visit with shops and food that are fun. But don't miss the brewery. Highly recommended!!

This is the oldest brewery in Ontario, estimated 1859 and it operates in the original building (designated as a heritage building now) The current owners have been operating it for 20 years (way ahead of the craft brewery trend) There are a few different beers, all solid and tasty. This operates mainly as a production facility than a trendy craft brewery, but I strongly recommend visiting it and talking to the owners about the history and architecture of the building

The building itself feels rich with history and culture. And it shows in their original award winning beers! The fresh spring water and local village really drives the feeling of being local and super welcoming.

A great brewery in a quiet small town that had been recommended by family who had stopped in before. Wide selection of tasty beers, fun games at each table, and a very friendly owner. Anita provided a great history of the brewery and shared plans for future tours to show off the unique features of the brewery first started in 1800s. Highly recommended to drop in and check it out.

Spent a great afternoon sampling the different beers available and touring the brewery. So much history there! My favorite is the American Pale Ale and the Raspberry Sauerkraut is a close second. Will definitely return, looking forward to trying those pretzels!

Under new ownership and it shows! The building and brand have gotten a much needed face lift and continuing to update to show pride of ownership and the brewery history. The beer itself is great as it had been with some new tweaks and flavours. Very bright, fun environment now with an outdoor patio in works for the spring / summer season. Don't let some of the old reviews of past ownership deter your visit. Cheers !

Found this place on a whim for Family Day, called and they were open!! We were in the mood for a tasting flight. Really good beer. Like we bought a 6 pack to go home with us. We spent ages there playing games and drinking beer. Lovely building and lovely husband and wife owners we chatted with. We are excited to see what comes from this new small business. We will definitely be back in the spring for some patio beers. Can I place my order for the raspberry beer now? Lol 10 out of 10
