โ โ โ โ โ While the redbean glutinous rice cake was a bit too firm for me, the creamy soy mochi was incredible. The interior of the store is very nice, with good service. They gave me a free cooler bag with my purchase. Excited to try the milky banana mochi if it's available next time.

โ โ โ โ โ No lineup when we went. Friendly staff quickly gave us an overview of the menu and what to expect. Sticky vs less sticky. Eat now while warm vs eat later. Sadly some recommended items were sold out but we still enjoyed these two items.

โ โ โ โ โ 2022 update: they need to work on customer service and not rush people. Salted Egg yolk one was oily, it didn't look presentable or photogenic so I had to remove it from the photo.
2021 update: Went back to the store and explained their not-so-fresh mango mochi. They replaced it and gave me a tea for free. Thank you for having good customer service.
All but the mango rice cake is NOT fresh. Disappointed and we did not receive a response when we messaged them on Instagram. Others we ordered were fresh and stretchy, i'm surprised they sold us a not fresh mango rice cake.

โ โ โ โ โ Staff was very friendly and helpful and the cakes themselves was beautifully displayed. I like the fact that it wasn't overly sweet, but I also found it to be very dry. Definitely not worth the price. I know they just opened, so hopefully they can adjust their recipes for a more western taste bud.

โ โ โ โ โ Excellent staff but what I had this afternoon was rough - both the osmanthus and oreo rice cakes were dry and had the wrong chewโฆmaybe they were a tad too old or maybe itโs the heat wave? We both had them seconds after walking out the store though. The red bean glutinous rice cake was decent. Perhaps I will give the other items a try in the future.

โ โ โ โ โ Honestly after I saw the place being recommended by a famous Instagram I decided to try it out with my friend. The service was great so they deserve at least one star, but the food quality was simply underwhelming.
We purchased the top recommended osmathus rice cake and the egg yolk pork gloss mochi. We paid approximately 10 rice cake and 6 dollars for the mochi. I wouldn't mind paying that much if the food was actually palatable, but unfortunately the rice cake was bland, super dry * you can choke on it, and the texture was off as it was difficult to chew. The egg yolk pork floss was tiny, tasted fishy, and had a weird aftertaste. I've never eaten someone so unpalatable in my life. I honestly had high expectations for nam dae moon because of the hype. It was way below expectations. But props to them on the presentation of the food. Aestheticially I would give them a A+.
In summary, would I recommend someone to go here. Probably not. If they are looking for pictures it's a great place to go, but for the food not so much. I might go back and give them one more chance, but slightly scared after my experience from today. Hopefully they improve the quality of their food.

โ โ โ โ โ Quite liked it. Tried the black bean glutinous rice cake and it was nice, moist, and squishy. Good sweet bean flavor and bouncy rice cake texture.
I like how it's not overly sweet so you can appreciate the taste of rice in the rice cake and the bean flavor.
I'd say they make a good speciality product in the rice cake domain and would come here again if I was craving rice cakes.
