★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once was great. New owners aren't at the same level. Lots of choices in calgary for ice cream now. This shop was number 1 for along time. Now sits very low on the list. I'm a calgarian been going here since it opened in the 80's. Village is what this place once was.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's ice cream, from Foothills Creamery. They also have some pop and a selection of interest candies (Some imported), but mostly it's 70+ flavours of ice cream. Great selection, decent prices, various sizes (including some take-home 1L tubs), plus floats and whatnot. And a variety of cone types (regular, sugar, waffle, etc). The ice cream quality is good - it's not Made By Marcus or Cow's, but it's as good as you'll get just about anywhere for a scoop. Often line-ups, but it moves fairly quickly. Seating outside, park across the street. Staff are friendly and move as quick as they can (people: please spend your time in line looking at the flavours so you can order asap!).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to love this place as a kid! It was so retro and vintage. It’s gotten really run down though and their attempts to renovate are more lipstick on a pig than actually fixing anything. The ice cream is still the same which I like. I always know what I’ll find. I hope they manage to bring new life into it at some point, I’d hate to see it deteriorate to the point where they’d have to shut it down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great Calgary classic. There's lots of room for outdoor seating, lots of parking, and a bike rack, which at the time has been badly damaged. There's lots of different flavours of ice cream to choose from including lots of kid friendly flavours. Had a great visit and will definitely be back to try more!
