MR Shawarma Restaurant

I am updating this review. The problems I was having with Mr. Shawarma were location specific and I felt my review did not properly convey this. When I am in the West end I go to Mr Shawarma on Baseline / Greenbank. I don't like/go to the Hazeldean location. Too many poorly put together sandwiches. I love Mr. Shawarma in general, they have great food and most locations I have been too are great. I frequent the East end Shopper City location. Always great. I highly recommend their rice as a side. Prices are competitive with other places and they have dine-in facilities too.

My first time here today, it won't be my last. This is now my favourite shawarma place in Kanata. Do yourself a favour and come try the food. It's fresh , hot, and very tasty. The staff is very nice. The restaurant is clean and bright with well displayed food selection. The prices are very reasonable as well.

I order from here all the time via Uber eats and it’s generally pretty good, today my Uber driver forgot the main bag of food and I contacted the restaurant and they were so lovely and didn’t hesitate to personally deliver it even though it meant sending one of their staff members to do so, this is above and beyond service and I will be a loyal customer always.

Reply to the owner: Yes sir. Your establishment. Imagine your employees admitting to this; not in a million years. They're doing this behind your back my brother. You were my shawarma store in Kanata. Now I can never step foot in there again. Choose your employees wisely. Install cameras. Otherwise... good luck. ‐----------------------- NEVER AGAIN!! I resisted leaving this review because I have been there several time prior to.this experience, but I can't. What I went through has to be told. Every time this place pops on my Google search or UberEats I get irritated. I went in some time ago. There were two young guys there. First of all, hummus was crusted over, garlic had a pool of oil in it and the lettuce was brown, table where the shawarma shish are sitting was FILTHY... but there I was, hungry and craving a shawarma. So under the shish there's a large metal scoop when they trim the shawarma into. From everything I had seen, it looked like no customer had been in there for hours. There was still old meat in the scoop even. I asked the gentleman serving me to kindly remove the old meat before trimming new meat and to clean the counter before wrapping my sandwich. He got his coworker to come help instead. I ask him the same thing. He says "DONT WORRY, I WONT GIVE YOU ANY OF THE OLD MEAT IN THE SCOOP". I ask him again to remove it before trimming new meat but he goes ahead and trims meat into the scoop onto the old meat and starts insulting me, telling me "YOU LEBS ALWAYS THINK PEOPLE ARE OUT TO GET YOU". I left. He says "GOOD I DIDNT WANT TO SERVE YOU ANYWAY". So crazy it's true. That experience blew my mind.

My son and I ate here yesterday. It was a busy place but we were served quickly and with a smile. The Shwarmas were very good. I would definitely eat here again.

Never again! I was a regular customer, but never again! Last night I ordered 5 shawarma sandwiches, with potatoes and drinks for each. When they arrived, the sandwiches only had chicken, the wrong garlic sauce, lettuce and tomatoes and no other shawarma fixings. The person on the phone didn't give me the option to correct or come in for a new order, he simply yelled "not my problem madame!". So I paid for shawarma but got chicken wraps... for that price I should have just gone to subway and saved some money and avoided being yelled at.

I have been going to this restaurant and I have to say my experience has always been GREAT ! - not only is the staff very professional but they give you good portion sizes for food! - to say that I'm satisfied with the service they provide would be an understatement . I always try to recommend this place any chance I get !

I visited Ottawa from Windsor and I stopped by this amazing place. Food was delicious and the services are great ? Highly recommended
