We have a toddler and our usual walker knows that our toddler is napping in the middle of the day, so she usually checks in with us to see if she’s sleeping or our walker is super stealthy and we never hear a sound. Our dog, Drift, who is a very busy Australian Shepherd always come back happy and exhausted. Drift loves our walker like one of his family. Such a great business that makes you feel like friends.

My boy has had nothing but a great time when out for the pack hikes and is always well exercised and tired when I come home. We got a puppy in the middle of Covid lockdowns and thanks to mountain paws she was able to get well socialized with a variety of other dogs and has learned recall better than any other dog I’ve ever had. Stella looks forward to her adventures, she’s enjoys watching for her ride on hike days … and she always comes home happy and tired.
J	James Morris on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I were recently away on a trip for just over 3 weeks. Our dog Brandi, a 3 1/2 year old AussieDoodle, stayed with Tasha at Mountain Paws in Castelgar. This was the first time we had to leave her for that long and our first time boarding her out. We were definitely a bit anxious leaving her. Tasha was excellent! She met Brandi and took her for a few hours before our trip to get acquainted with each other and make sure she fit in with her family. During our time away Tasha posted and texted pictures of our little girl having fun so we knew she was ok and well taken care of. As well during our trip Tasha was available via text or phone if we had any concerns. When we picked her up she was freshly bathed and happy to see us. We were impressed right from the get go: when Tasha came over to do a meet & greet and trial walk, we told her our dog can be a little nervous with strangers. She said no problem, and made him feel comfortable and relaxed right away. Our dog had a great walk, and we were happy to enroll him on regular weekly hikes right away. We've used both the walking and boarding services, and they've both been fantastic. The dog walkers really care about the dogs and really look to make sure the dogs are having fun while being safe. We highly recommend Mountain Paws to anyone in the Kootenays!

In addition to providing the exercise that all dogs need, Tasha’s expertise also makes the daily hikes an educational experience and a social outing for any dog. She has been caring for our two year old dog since he started hiking with his “puppy friends” when he was nine months old. Tasha has been very helpful with his training, and has always been there to answer our questions. We recently had him board with her while we were away, and we were confident that he had fun every day and was comfortable in her home. Thank you Tasha and the Mountain Paws Team!
