It has been almost 5 years now that I have been training with Mike and the team at Mountain Jiu-jitsu and I consider them family. This is the place to be for Jiujitsu whether you are just starting out or looking for a place to continue your training.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Professor Marco is incredibly talented. His passion for jiu-jitsu is contagious. It is one thing to be great at something, it is another thing entirely to transfer that knowledge to others.
Coach Mike, Neil and Johnny each have a unique coaching style. I find this helps me to appreciate the subtle nuances of each skill. Mike finds a way to be playful and toy with his opponents, Neil is all about efficiency in every movement, and Johnny is so calm and deliberate.
As a female, I find Coach Joanna especially inspirational. She is so skilled and calculated, and somehow always manages the most serene smile before she submits you!
With the guidance of this diverse team of instructors, I am learning so much - to play to my strengths and to develop a system that feels natural.
Not to mention the team - everyone at MTNJJ is welcoming, respectful, and talented! I’m so grateful I got dragged into this crazy sport. Jiu-Jitsu is challenging and empowering, it inspires me in so many aspects of my life!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love how friendly and relaxed Mountain Jiu-Jitsu is, even though there are a lot of guys, as a gal, I always feel super welcomed and find everyone very non-intimidating. There's a good sense of team spirit even though we're technically sparing with one another at times, a lot of respect and good laughs. Training with different body types and learning new moves, skills and techniques is also super great - I love how the higher belts always help the newer ones. AND - kinda love all the socials, friendships and hangout times with these guys. They kinda really miss you when you don't show up!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After training at other BJJ places, coming to MJJ was a fantastic experience. The instructors are so dedicated to BJJ as a martial art, unlike the McDojos I previously attended. The comradery and support from the other participants is also wonderful, as it can be intimidating walking in the door the first time. I will always wear my gi burns with pride as I progress through my stripes on this fantastic journey that is BJJ. Thanks guys - keep up the great work. See you on the mats!
