Mount Tzouhalem offers limitless hiking and mountain biking opportunities. There are trails for all types of skill and so many diverse views. The parking lot was recently upgraded with a bike wash station and a handicap accesable washroom. Probably the most popular destination on the mountain is reaching the cross on the rocky cliffs looking south that provide an incredible view of Cowichan Bay, Duncan and much of the Cowichan Valley.

Large, spacious parking. The trail itself is well maintained but lacking any real trail markings and maps. Great views from the cross as well as a few lookout along the bluffs.

Great trail for hiking. Dogs love this area as well. The trails merge into the MTB trials that are in the area as well so you need to be sure you are not hiking in a downhill MTB trail, otherwise just watch for bikers and enjoy!

Our favourite place to view the beautiful Valley! A great hike, fantastic view, historic spot. The Cross is now rainbow hued, and always gives pause for thought. Huy' ch' qa

Stellar network of trails for both mountain biking and some hiking. Everything from fast and flowy to root and rock technical climbing.

Good-sized parking lot. The trails are marked, but with so many to follow, it is sometimes difficult to stay on a planned route. We've been exploring the Mountain over a few hikes, and would recommend the hiked to beginners (the old logging roads) and more experienced hikers (the ridge trails).

The signage could be better to let you know where the trails lead and if you are on a bike only path. Luckily we ran into super friendly people that help guide us better up to the summit of the cross. Some good exercise was had along with the fresh air and amazing views along the way. A couple good viewpoints before getting to the top so you can catch your breath as it gets steeper you travel. Overall not a bad hike, I'm outta shape and recovering from knee and shoulder surgery and made the round trip in about 2.5 hrs. Got to see some eagles on our rest at the 1st viewpoint. Highly recommended and we will return to try one of the other trails ?

Great hike, beautiful cliffside views. On the way up its not terribly difficult, the terrain is not to bumpy and gets more steep at the top but we managed to get to the top in 1 hour. (We took the branch C > to viewpoint trail > cross cliff side trail to get to the top viewpoint) The only issue was on the way down it was difficult to navigate down due to poorly marked areas. We tried taking the danalyzer down but got lost a few times due to lack of trail markers. While hiking down, many routes you would think you are on the main path but would end up on a mountain bike trail that says "no entry." We made it down all good just a bit of a hassle trying to navigate down. It took us just over 2 hours to go up and down the hike. Highly recommend the hike though, the views are worth it!
