N	Niloofar Gharavi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did the Mt Gardner hike 2 days ago, on March 6th. Half way through the trail, you might find snow and ice. The trail was extremely slippery, I had to hold on to trees not to fall. At some point, we had to climb a frozen creek. Overall, it was totally worth it. If hiking this trail in winter or early spring, come prepared with ice spikes!

E	E C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The starting point for the trail for the loop trail up mount Gardner. Time needed is 3-5 hours to do the complete loop and time for a lunch break on the summit. From this sign, walk up hikers road to a rusted old gate across road. Walk a bit past this gate and turn left on skid trail which will take you to south summit first then on to North summit.

T	Tash Dvornik on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to Bowen Island, 20 min by ferry from Horseshoe Bay in Vancouver. 30 dollars per car and 10 dollars per person for a return trip, no need to book in advance, the ferry goes every hour, so the crossing was smooth and fine. Cannot tell the same about Mount Gardner Loop Trail ? The trail by itself, 10 km loop, gives you a wonderful opportunity of 360 panoramic views from the summit (northern and southern ridges), no people, all viewpoints to yourself BUT... the trail is NOT marked properly ?? We were wondering all the time if we took the right turn or not?? And what is the distance?? No map at the beginning of the trail, and practically no parking. We followed the google maps, and found ourselves on a small road with only 2 parking spots along the road. I loved the trail though, we had a substantial Mexican lunch ? at Killarney lake before heading for a trail (1 km from trail start!) There are tables with a lake view, toilet and parking, as well. Lovely beginning!! What I suggest if you go, remain at the island till SUNSET and visit Cape Roger Curtis Lighthouse, it is so amazingly small and gracious. A hidden gem!!!! ?? There are return ferries at 7.30 and 8.30 pm, so you will be fine to return to Van!!
