About Moose Jaw Baptist Church Unaffiliated
Moose Jaw Baptist Church exist due to the long-time, faithful ministry of our pastor, Roger Foust and his wife, Ruth (see below). Since retiring on December 2019, the church has been looking for a pastor to lead the church and continue the ministry in our community. We have members and attendees from both the city and surrounding communities, some traveling as far as 80 km (50 miles) to worship and fellowship with us.
Moose Jaw is a small city with a population of approximately 35,000 with most of the amenities one would need. We have several grocery store options, shopping, fast food restaurants and interesting tourist attractions. It carries the title “Most Notorious City” due to the stories of Al Capone and his alleged rum running during prohibition days. We used to label ourselves the “Friendly City,” and we at Moose Jaw Baptist Church still seek to show that side of the community as well as show it to the community.
Moose Jaw is located in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. We are north and a little west of the Montana/North Dakota border. Our climate has all four seasons in full. We can have actual summer temperatures of 40° C (104° F) and winter of -40° C. (-40° F). We are an area with some of the most sunshine in Canada.
We are located 70 km (45 miles) west of Regina, Saskatchewan’s capital city with a population of 235,000.
