It has been many years since I have had my hair cut/styled by Jaime at Gemini hair studio, I have always kept my reason for leaving private, but after hearing similar stories to mine of the treatment received at this salon, I am deciding to share my hair experience. When I first began going to see Jaime I was astounded by her ability to handle my thick, long, and curly hair, despite her often cutting my hair much shorter that I described I wanted, I continued to return. My bad experience wasn’t until my mother decided to stop seeing her for her hair treatment; the next time I returned after this, Jaime seemed bothered by my mothers decision and treated me in an unprofessional manner. Knowing I have lots of hair, I would always book two hair appts back to back because it would take a long time to complete the trim and style. Despite this, Jaime claimed that I didn’t book the two appointments and that although I was her last client of the day, she would not style my hair after cutting it because she wanted to go home. This lead to me blow drying and straightening my own hair as she sat in the back of the store doing other work. Before and after this incident, I have never been told by a hair dresser that I was expected to leave the salon with wet hair, especially in the middle of winter. It is unfortunate that such a nice establishment was tarnish by such a bad experience of mine. The other workers have been nothing but great to me, TL has always provided great service in the past for my nails and eyebrows, but I haven’t returned since because of how Jaime acted towards me due to me not returning for her business.

Let me tell you something, I am the pickiest person when it comes to hair and Jamie is the only one who can nail my look each time. I have very red hair, which is a hard colour to capture given the variety of shades as well as it is typically hard to maintain, and I don’t know what magic Jamie performs, but she does it! I have been coming to Jamie for over five years and I love her positive attitude she radiates. Not only that, but she is extremely accommodating to my schedule. Highly recommend, and beautiful space, very open and clean which is great during these Co-Vid times.

Every experience I have had with TL (manicure, waxing) has been amazing quality, and she's extremely professional and all around kind! However, I have received a couple haircuts from Jaime, and never been fully satisfied. Following the last haircut I got from her, everything seemed to be fine, but after washing it I realized it was asymmetrical. The right side was about 1" longer than the left. Unfortunately, would not recommend.
