I should have done it before enrolling my kids here...My daughter, when she was 3years old, got attacker by another girl. That girl dig her nails on my daughters side ribs and the day care hid the fact. And didn’t do anything about it. Most horrible day care in Calgary!!
V	V K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been using this centre for the last couple of years, and overall we are really happy with it. The centre has great hours to accomodate work scehdules. The staff is very friendly and truly care for the children. Paula, the daycare manager is very approachable and has a good understanding of how all the kids are doing. There is a good combination of play variance, free play, strucuted play, arts & crafts, and physical activity. They have also started a french program, and have learned sign language as well. My only complaint is that I wish there was more email communication about staff changes and monthly meal plans, but with that said they do post all of that information in the daycare, so its really more of a suggestion than a complaint. This daycare embraces all cultures, and multi-language families, which is something we really love. Anytime there has been a notable injury, we have been notified via a formal form the staff fills out outlining the series of events, but nothing major has ever happened. The kids get in scuffles all the time, but nothing more than normal kid stuff. Overall, we are very happy with this childcare centre and would recommend it!

My child showed signs of trauma from being in their "care" for which we had to take her for testing, and two years on as a family we are Still experiencing the reprecussions and fall out of the confirmed trauma. When I raised the issue with the owner I was contacted by someone out of this daycare who, although empathetic to my experience, was unable to get the owner to resolve the issue. I took my concerns and anger from licensing all the way to my MLA at the time and the AB Justice Minister. Turns out (because of legislation) licensing can't have a daycare shut down in Alberta as long as the daycare says they'll keep working on trying to do better. Mount Royal Daycare has since been closed, is my understanding, although not sure the exact why. In connecting with parents that also had their kids in the care of this company I have found my story and experience is not unique. The staff will turn over and often are great with the kids (some are not). Their hands, however, are tied by the behaviour and policies set out by the owners. The website is beautiful and has really positive, buzworthy words. If it hadn't been for my own family's horrific experience with this company and finding it was not unique or isolated, I would have thought this was a great place for my kiddo. In summary, it was not safe and my trust was misplaced in them.
S	S DuBois on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After the absolute catastrophe that was my experience with Altadore (especially with the new owners who do not care about their kids or staff) Paula reached out to me and allowed me to move my kids over, not only has the improvement been amazing but the clean and safe center has kept me and my family sane during covid, Paula, Danae, Shy, and Rhae have taught my kids the beauty of life! I would be it more stars if I could.
