Fathima has many years experience working in early childhood education and with special needs children. She has successfully run a Montessori preschool from home for the last 5 years. Fathima has her Early Childhood Education Certificate, Human Services Diploma and Access to Teaching Certificate. In 2011 she graduated with a Montessori Teaching Diploma specific to Preschool and Kindergarten children (aged 2.8-6 years) with the North American Montessori Centre. Fathima realised there is a great need for providing Preschoolers with a foundation to succeed in their formal education. She guides the children so that they can flourish in basic literacy, numeracy, social and independence skills.
Her philosophy is encapsulated in the following quote:
“All our handling of the child will bear fruit, not only at the moment but in the adult, they are destined to become. Education is a natural process carried out by the human individual, and is acquired not by listening to words, but by experiences in the environment.” Dr.Maria Montessori

The learning centres are thoughtful and fun and we appreciate that outdoor time is valued as well. A lovely addition to the neighbourhood!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We choose Mangrove Tree Preschool as we were not satisfied with our current choice of preschool. Instantly we knew our choice was the right one! The teacher's are caring, interactive and make an effort to get to know your child. The school makes an effort to get out in the community with several events planned. The facilty is also a great space with lots of outdoor space for the children to play! My son loves preschool and happily goes each day! I would highly recommend Fathima's program.

The best part of it all is that our son also loves the preschool and happily goes each day. We are very lucky to have such a quality preschool program in our neighbourhood at such an affordable rate.
