★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mondo & Company at Granville Island is a shop specializing in very original items hand crafted in Africa. Amazing colours and textures in everything including jewelry, fabrics, ornaments, and a long etc. If you are looking for a hand woven basket, this is the place, Mondo has them available in many different shapes and sizes. The music in the background adds to the ambiance, it transports you to that continent. The overall feel here is quite different, but totally fits within the Granville Island experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I returned 2 baskets and the owner was very agitated, her sister Diane came into the store and I was asked to wait outside , Carolyn’s sister proceeded to raise her voice at me outside, ripped off her mask and proceeded to swear at me in front of a young family from Vancouver with a 18 month baby who now knows all Diane ‘s swear words. Diane screamed at me while I was on the sidewalk in front of the business screaming at me to go away, not come near the store, not to wait outside and I was afraid as I am a person with disabilities. This happened around Christmas time and it was about lunchtime as I was waiting for my medications at the pharmasave and they were backed up with cyst during the Christmas rush.
