I think these mom/pop shops are difficult to review because you get just that - flashbacks of your childhood when you taste the flavours your tongue knows best. I gave my friend's "mom" a shot and although the lady at the till was very friendly even in the wee hours of when we stumbled in, I do still very much prefer my go-to donair shop that's in my neighborhood.
D	Donovan Jang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mom's Donair seems like a friendly, family run place that I want to like; however, in all honestly, the donairs just aren't that great. Over the past year and a half, I've eaten at thirty different donair places, with no judging criteria asides from quality, taste, texture, and price/portion. Mom's is relatively sub-par in each category: somewhat stale pita, less than fresh ingredients, bland meat blend, and small meat portions. All donairs are good food, (i.e. I'd still get this over Chicago Deep Dish right next door), but not all donairs are good (i.e. better off travelling somewhere else).
U	Uglee Ape on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son just bought two donairs; May 7th 2022, I started eating it and there was no sweet sauce and cheese, my son asked for sweet sauce onions and cheese. The meat is bland and not cooked very well. This would be one of the worst places for donairs. I make donairs at home and mine are ten times better. Very disappointing and a waste of $13.00. Definitely would not recommend this place.

This use to be a great place with a very good donair late 1990’s early 2000’s They went weak some time ago I went recently I ordered a regular donair Now they are cheap I had 2 pieces of onion very little lettuce and very skimpy on the meat and just a squirt of sweet sauce. Weak flavoured and skimping on everything is bad for business. I am very disappointed.

No sauce or cheese but it was payed for and the meat wasn't cooked properly, asked for well done because it tends to bring out a better flavor. I will not go back and definitely will not be recommending this place. Disappointing to say the least.
