The first time I met her she told me everything she was doing with my hair to make sure I was comfortable and told me how long it would take. I have been going to Tran since then, and I have to say I genuinely would not trust anyone else with my hair.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Modern Lox Salon is thee place to go for all your hair styling needs. Tran listened to my needs and gave attention to detail. No sales push here and a rush thru to the next please. A genuine passion and knowledge for hair styling and coloring Tran offered the best. I came into the salon looking like a train wreck and left feeling very satisfied and beautiful. I've made Modern Lux Salon my home for all my hair care needs. Give Modern Lox Salon a try you will come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for a new stylist, you gotta go see Tran at Modern Lox!! I just moved here and was looking for a stylist and happened to walk by this salon and I'm so glad I gave it a shot. Tran cut and colored my hair exactly as I envisioned it and it feels healthy and shiny. I'm so happy with the results! Highly recommend. I wish I took before and after pics!

The owner Tran has made her dreams a reality all on her own 2 feet and opened an incredibly beautiful comfortable professional clean salon with a wicked vibe. I go to her specifically for hair extensions and I would NEVER go anywhere else. She is fast, professional and installs them to where close friends of mine have never noticed i have extensions. She is a genius at what she does and im so lucky to have found her!! I would give it 100 stars if that was an option. Check her out she is incredible!!! Highly highly recommend!!

I have been a client of Tran’s for over 2 years and she truly makes me feel special.
Tran worked so hard this summer to have her dream come true! She did an amazing job with the choice of her downtown, Nanaimo location. The decor and colours of “Modern Lox Salon” have a very warm, vibe feeling.
Tran’s reputation and professionalism is very important to her and that shows through every time I leave her chair. I always look forward to my once a month appointment.
