★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very little selection the high and flexible pricing for sewing minor stuff not to mention language issues. Not sure how they stay in business but if you need something and it's convenient give it a try you might find that your experience is different than mine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This a jewel for the city of Winnipeg. If you have leather and need it lovingly cared for with value extra service and with an eye for detail then you need to talk to Mei Ling. SO helpful, and so artful in her repairs. She lovingly restored my leather jacket. This is where you can get beautiful leather gloves and solid leather belts like the kind you got way back in 1972. This is now my go to place for all my leather needs - and those are great. If you're driving West on Portage Avenue, it's on your right hand side in the building that has the 54 miles to Portage La Prairie sign on it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called nearly every month for over 7-8 months... Some months I'd even forgotten it existed. She had a traditional Chinese dress to tailor for around $90 and told me over and over again she would call me when it was finished... In the past she has done good work but I felt she kept choosing to do other people's work and I missed using this dress over the holiday... I gave this dress to her so long ago. Multiple times I even told her I'd just come get it and bring it somewhere else if she couldn't do it if it would not be done the following week and requested a refund, she told me firmly she'd get it done. I love supporting local but this was very bad business. I will not be using her services again and do not recommend bringing anything you will need to get done by a certain deadline. I shouldn't have to get angry, threaten to take the work, or ask for a refund in order to have the job done. I am very upset with this interaction with this business.
In the end, I called a few days ago (after telling her I really wanted it done for October) and she says... "Oh! I finished that in December, you pick it up now." She did a good job, but unfortunately I am unable to share with friends and support her business.
