Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp (MLMP) is committed to environmentally sound business practices, beginning with our procurement methods and our dedication to voluntarily uphold international sustainable forest management standards. As such, MLMP maintains a Due Diligence System (DDS) to demonstrate conformance to Forest Stewardship Council®, (FSC®) and the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) requirements.
An important element of due diligence is to ensure the protection of high conservation values and traditional & human rights identified in our Fibre Supply Area. MLMP has implemented control measures to work alongside with fibre suppliers to mitigate the risks related to the wood sourcing. MLMP has obtained a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certificate for Chain of Custody (KF-CoC-001010) & Controlled Wood (KF-CW-001010) and PEFC’s certificate for Chain of Custody (2572).
