★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very special and secluded spot. Lovely and peaceful destination for a country drive. Small store has local cheese, honey and many religious tokens and books.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool place to go!! I had gone before and they had cheese for sale! It was Soo good! So we went back with the kids, no cheese but still great souvenirs to look at and the ground around the building are very well kept and nice to look at! Various flower gardens and statues! We were there quite a while! The monk that was running the store was very pleasant and answered the many questions the kids had!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sadly, the monastery has closed. Only one of the original monks is still alive and the shop is also closed now. The original Trappist Monastery was located in St. Norbert. The monks then (early 70's) decided to move to Holland, Manitoba, a more secluded spot. The current monastery in Holland may change hands soon to the Egyptian Coptic church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The store is only open 2 hours a day. Monday-Sat. Stores in town sometimes carry the Oka cheese. It is run by 6 monks.
