I have taken a few different tea courses, but Edward and Crystal are absolutely amazing instructors who put a unique spine on tea, its history, economic significance, manufacturing and preparation practices, and its relation to aesthetics, ethics, and etiquette. And they also give you really practical ways to develop your palette and your ability to describe what you are tasting and smelling. If you want to learn about this beverage you can do no better than take advantage of one or more of the flexible options that Ming Tea gives you to start your discovery!

I was a tea drinker since my teen year. As the genuine love developed from the daily habits, I tried to find a good teacher so I can systematically learn about tea. I tried different types of tea "Masters" in China, they somehow disappointed me. As I went back to Canada, and I met Edward's tea crews. I decided to try the course without attending any of his tea gatherings. I like the teacher and how he delivered the course material: people will actually learn something useful and experience many unforgetables. I strongly recommend the Edward's courses to anyone who love tea or interested in tea, it will open a whole new chapter in your knowledge bases and in your lives.

I attended Edward’s tea meeting on February 16. It was a lovely, intimate gathering that allowed lots of discussions on tea. The teas were presented in a calm, unhurried pace. Music was playing in the background to help relax the participants. Edward answered all questions with his endless knowledge of tea. There was great discussions that helped broaden my interests in the tea world. It was a perfect afternoon with tea and friends.

I used to be a life-long tea drinker, but only become a real tea-lover until I met Edward. He introduced so many varieties of international tea and taught me through how to enjoy a real cup of tea, not only to the taste of it but also the processes of making different tea, tea history, tea ceremony, spirit inside tea, and stories behind tea. Now I found the peace and comfort by drinking tea. Ming tea is the place I can find good quality tea, nothing in the commercial market can compare. Edward is a talented person who is very knowledgeable about tea and love to share his passion with whoever wants to experience the joy a brew of tea can bring.

Best tea in GTA. Not only the tea, but also the culture behind each piece of tea leaf. Plus, it was a super Zen experience when you sit there with the smell of time, with the fragrance of memories, with you yourself. Highly recommend.

If you’re the type of person that loves to drink tea and interested in knowing more about the tea culture, tea history, different types of tea, how to identify the type and the quality, maybe even the scientific health benefits of each? This is the place to come!! Probably one of THE BEST tea courses you can possibly find in Toronto GTA!!! Mr. Edward Qu, qualified tea expert, a great teacher with lots of knowledge about tea, and has been studying it for decades. The number of variety of tea he has is unbelievable. Recommend 101 and 201 for beginners.

The best way to enjoy your tea is empty your mind, slow down your body. By then nothing matters but the tea itself. Edward’s 101 Tea Basic and 201 Advanced Classes Changed my initial understanding of tea. It is not just about tea, it is also about history, culture, art, lifestyle, literature, and more......Through the cup you see the world.

It is a fun class with hands on brewing time and tea story time with thousands year of history. It is also like meditation experience when you let go all the stress to enjoy the simple joy of tea taste and aroma. Love the class and looking forward to the next one.
